Ok I'm back
Weekend list for those with odd tendancies

1. S&S bathroom and kitchen - will need at least 2 x HHC in kitchen alone..... 1 x HHC done
   
2. binbag dance
3. Polish any shoes for work + put said shoes away
   
4. Change any bedding that has not been done this week
5. Spend half an hour doing something for YOURSELF!! - think I will manage this one - I plan to have a coffee while DD has interview for a Saturday job in Lincoln - must remember to take my book so I dont look too silly being on my own - lol
   
6. 15 minutes filing - opening neglected post
   
7. Think of 5 more tasks to complete next week!!
8. List 5 things to sell/ebay/freecycle
9. sort through one cupboard.. kitchen or clothing or junk.. whatever - maybe - might not get there but will try
10. [STRIKE]Place a wanted notice on Freecycle for hangers as need loads.[/STRIKE]
11. 2 loads of washing besides the bedding above - 1x WM in now
    
12. HHC from sofa hotspot - it is so so so bad - i will take a picture but will only post if I can clear it - too embarassing for the world to see:o
    

Also have list of 5 to finish:

1. Pay a bill for Mum - need to write letter with it. - letter typed and printed just need to fill in cheque and post
   
2. QHG each evening - will try for HHG but not sure will meet that
   
3. clear access to utility room - tired of standing on things to reach the sink already done
4. Clear hall - put up hanging rail for Mum's clothes
5. Plant shrubs and plants before they completely die!

Ok - thats updated the list - so off for late shower now and then down to Post Office to Mum's letter - and that will be another one off the lsit of 5 :j

Best of luck for your interview valli - I'm intrigued as to what the job is that you're going for?

Serena sorry to hear about the awful timetable - is it worth speaking to your union about or are you not a member?
Oddjob I'm really impressed by what you managed in that HHC and sounds like the adventure with the shower had a good outcome in the end. Good luck with your sponsored toddle.
HelenJelly I'm sure you won't be on here over the weekend, particularly as you've been so good and done all of your flying, but just in case you read back through, I hope you have the most fantastic wedding!

PS I meet my new class on Thursday afternoon (1pm) and then meet the parents at 3pm :eek: I'm feeling quite nervous cos I've never done a transition day before, and don't really know what to expect. I've got an inset day with the staff on the Friday too. Still haven't received my official job offer yet though. Should I be worried?

Just grabbed 10 min break, and raced out side to get the washing in, it is chucking it down here with rain...............................

Nice to see you OJ.

Well, yesterday's session with the children in DD3's class was great!!! I really enjoyed it. They were really engaged, and asked some more really good questions. :j :j :j

It became clear that they really thought my DD was completely different from them. We talked lots about how they are all pretty much the same. The important people in their lives love them, just the same as I love my DD. That Down's doesn't hurt her inside, but people being unkind or mean hurts her feelings just like it would hurt theirs.

I explained that Down's just means that she takes longer to learn things, and the ADHD just means that she finds it harder to concentrate.

I said that life is about us being the best that we can be, and that we can all help each to be the best we can be, by being thoughtful and considerate of each other.

They all thought that when her lessons are broken up into small chunks for her to focus better, that she was just getting to do what she liked. They thought that she was playing with toys and generally having a good old time, while they were having to work. :rolleyes:
I explained that teachers don't like people just playing! so when DD is out of lessons and it looks like she's playing, really she's learning!!

All in all it was very successful. :T :T

I don't hate hugs.. just I usually don't deserve them.. my messes are usually caused by my own stupidity!

Laundry hung out, need to reload WM''s so I'll go do that and the DW and give the kitchen a quick S&S...

DD's 1&2 and DS2 have gone 'shopping'... they have a huge list of party stuff and we shall see what they return with!

Well done sarah - it sounds like your talk was vey successful. As a new teacher, it has given me some ideas on how to approach questions from children too, so thank you.

Triker.. I can't do today and I have no idea what i'm doing tomorrow yet it is alex's birthday so we may invent some plans.. or we may just be having cake! I haven't even got him a pressie yet.. I am so useless!! Do you think the 'news' would be a good enough gift? pmsl...
