Afternoon all
Can't find my pedometer so no step counting for me today. Been to town to do a couple of returns, bank some cheques and get a bit of food for OH to take camping with the boys - they should be heading off within the next 30 minutes so 22 hours of peace on the cards:j
Plan is to work on my 5 smilie list and do bits in the garden and the ironing.I don't hate hugs.. just I usually don't deserve them.. my messes are usually caused by my own stupidity!
Piggers that brought a tear to my eye you dozy mare, hope you have a great time with Jacob, so sorry to hear of your Gran xSarahShattered wrote: »Hi Everyone
Nice to see you OJ.
Well, yesterday's session with the children in DD3's class was great!!! I really enjoyed it. They were really engaged, and asked some more really good questions. :j :j :j
SS
xx
I am so glad your talk went well and hope that the wonderful insight you have shared with make school days easier for your DD and her classmates
PS I meet my new class on Thursday afternoon (1pm) and then meet the parents at 3pm  I'm feeling quite nervous cos I've never done a transition day before, and don't really know what to expect. I've got an inset day with the staff on the Friday too. Still haven't received my official job offer yet though. Should I be worried?
I've forgotton which year you are doing? Our transitions usually include what they will be covering topic wise, school trips to be included that year and then any changes like if they need their own pencil case or are starting swimming lessons. Do you know if the classes has been mixed up? This often results in lots of questions from parents. Good LuckThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all. Hope you’re all having a lovely Saturday! I’ve made a start on catching up on my W/E list, but I’ve failed on one of my 5 challenges – I just couldn’t be bothered to go to the bank today… All the essential laundry is done, so just doing the extra bits such as rugs/cushions now, but not really anywhere left to hang it (it’s been raining, so it’s all indoors). Just having a coffee and watching the Formula 1 now (my secret vice!)…

Phew! Where is the day going???
I ended up taking DD round to her dad's. After her waiting for him for an hour whilst he tried to find a pin number. Typical him. I go round and find it inside 2 minutes flat!! Still, while I was there, I grabbed all my CD's, a load of my personal paperwork and a few odd bits stationery wise.
He hasn't let me take any furniture from the house and I had a job getting mine and the kids clothes at one point. It's all coming slowly in dribs and drabs but I'd rather just be able to get straight once and for all.
Anyway she says she's staying at daddy's tonight, but that normally changes and she wants to come home. Mind you she hasn't stayed over for 3 weeks so we shall see.
DS has gone to town with his mate for boxing gloves:eek: Apart from the fact that just a slight tap on his nose causes it to bleed for England is besides the point.
On the flying front I have just hoovered through downstairs with my dinky little bissell. It does an ok job, but I bought a Dyson from Ebay this week, so I'll be glad when that turns up.
Off to find my list............0 -
Thanks Sexym and Dusty. I was delighted with the session, and apparently the children were really solicitous with my girl all day
bless! So obviously the thing about being kind and considerate sunk in!!! :rotfl: We'll see how long that lasts!
Piggers.... something you're not telling us????:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
My list of challenges.... Failed!
[STRIKE]1) make sure I put a love note in their lunch boxes twice this week[/STRIKE]
2) make tomato soup for DD2 - her favourite
3) absolutely no shouting from me this week - that's a tough one... (hmm, they needed a good telling off yesterday, so I didn't shout, but I dd raise my voice)
4) buy the paint for the LR
5) defrost small freezer
But that's it!Must try harder!
