Oddjob-good luck with the tidy up. Hope everyone was ok re calling the fire brigade out.
Pigpen- It must be really difficult at night time for you as I would imagine that your house is not often quiet.
I don't really have anyone I can go for a drink with. Too many nights when I stayed at home when the children are really young so I don't have any one to ask.
Aty least my house should look great when they come back

Morning All
I didn't get up until 8.20 as I had a headache so DH got up with the kids - well he got up and turned the alarm off, put the computer and TV on and left them to their own devices for an hour before he got up himself but at least I didn't have to deal with them!
Anyway the WM is on, DH has taken the kids to McDonalds for breakfast and then is picking me up onthe way back so we can nip to HB. My car's in the garage and should be ready around lunchtime so that'll be another job done. I need to try and do quite a bit today as we're going to West Midlands Safari Park tomorrow, weather permitting, as a treat for the kids for getting fab reports. DD has got level 3s in all subjects at the end of year 2 so I'm really proud of her.
Anyway, that's enough waffle. Where are you off to next weekend piggers? Somewhere nice?
Oddjob - good luck with the woddle - I'm sure everyone will just enjoy your company and won't worry too much about whether the house is tidy.
TAG, mumofjust2 & piggers - I think you're all doing really well, it's been a really big upheaval for you and the kids and you've all coped admirably and I'm really proud of all of you so there!
I'd better go do something before Dh and the kids come to pick me up.
Have a good day all

Morning All
Actually managed a sleep in this morning - typical - just when I have organised a looooonnnng list of things to do.
Pigpen, moj2 and Tag - it does get easier and I love the peace and quiet of the house for a few hours - Buy a paper, make nice coffee and relish the quiet - it is not often it happens after all!!
My DD struggled more than older DS - it appears she blamed herself - I did not find this out for years mind! We also found that we were more relaxed after he went, with more laughter and good relationship. Just one example - the three of us driving in the car and DD reading about Chinese horoscopes. We went through ours (for some reason I am a snake!!) but when they checked out their father - it appears he was a rat - DS piped up quick as anything - 'Well that figures then - must be acturate afterall' We fell about laughing - even now they remember incidents like this.
I have to say ex did not see DD for 18 months until earlier this year and DS for just over a year. I think this made them feel abandoned for a second time so even if all the running is on your side keep it up - it is good for the children to have a good level of contact with ex. They are older now and coped well - infact i think they have become harder than I would like as they have both said separately that they will take Dad for what he will give financially (not a lot). So when they did see him earlier this year they both came back with DVD's and new clothes.
Hugs to you all
