Morning lovelies - just a quick question. The curtains I found the other day that will fit little bedroom window says dry clean only. They are made out of polyester and cotton, but feel like they have some sort of coating on iyswim. Do you think it would be ok to wash them (don't really want to have to pay to get them cleaned) or will they be ruined? Any advice would be most appreciated x

I's wash them on a delicates wash.. light spin or they may crumple badly.. hang them straight from the machine and they'll be fine.

well ex saw DS and DD last week for 5 hours but next weekend he is having the children for the weekend which is good for them(with his girlfriend who he now lives with).

Dd seems to have become a little devil but think that may have happened anyway. DS is very sweet especially when he tells me "he loves me to Juniper and back" and he means Jupiter.

Well the house has been tidier since the Ex went but at the moment isn't great because of the kitchen but I think I am getting somewhere with that so that will help the children too :D:D

He is having these Friday to Sunday next weekend which will be very good for them all I thnk.. though i don't know what to do with myself without them and resorted to manic cleaning while sobbing when they went last time for 1 night!!.. it wasn't even 24 hours!!! lol

I MUST get him to collect the remainder of his gear from here though so I can move the stuff from DD2s room to the place that is so I can decorate it!!

    Morning all,

Piggers and MOJT. I've been having dramas with DD up until the middle of this week.

She's had a tough time of it over these last few months. She went to school one Wednesday morning and everything was fine at home for her and then all of a sudden I picked her up early from school that afternoon and her little world was turned upside down.

Since the beginning of May we've lived in 3 different places. But at last we're starting to get settled here now.

It's really tough having to cope with everything when it's all going pear shaped. And even tougher trying to hold yourself together at times.

But it will and does get better. She's expressed alot of her pain and anger through pictures and writing. Some of the ones I've found have made me feel awful but I know what I'm doing is right for all of us for now.

Keep going ladies. We have the hardest but most rewarding jobs in the world.

Tag.. I am glad things are settling for you all too. :D I think it took about 2 months for these to get it all out of their system and realise nothing else would be changing at that time. Other than the occasional wobble I have been ok.. but I think I've had that much else going on I haven't really had time to address my feelings fully, it wasn't too much of a shock us splitting though.. so maybe I wasn't quite so traumatised.. and i think he was actually relieved to be away.. he has said since he hadn't wanted to be here for the last 2 years and only was for the children.. and probably his own selfish reasons but.. such is life!!

Tag ((hugs)) for you and your daughter. Glad things are getting better.

Pigpen- MIL was round yesterday and ask what I was doing next week when EX has the children and I thought apart from tidying (it needs it) I have no idea what to do and am sure that I will have moments when I cry. At least I know that I will make me appreciate them even more when they come back.
