Morning LP,
There's unfortunately very little I can add to any of the topics on p.28! Sometimes I forget this is a female dominated part of the MSE boards! Just wanted to pop in any say well done on getting the mortgage sorted out. We've been alerted to a bit of land up your way so you may yet have us as near neighbours!
Cheers,
BillyMortgage Free: 28/10/2010Time / Interest Saved: 18.5 years / £61,866.500 -
Not long ztan, 25-30 minutes maybe, I don't do enough though and seem to miss days and weeks and stuffMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

I dont spend anywhere near that on presents either anymore. I tend to give the older children money now as they want to buy their own things.
I spend more on birthdays than christmas. I love christmas though and getting excited about it nowI can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
ooo where abouts Billy?? Angus/Perthshire is lovely. Berry country.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

My boys have about £100 for birthdays and £150 for Christmas. DS1 is nearly 13 and has asked for a Lego Hogwarts at £100. I was surprised because he has outgrown lego and isn't that bothered about Harry Potter. So I asked why. Apparently he expects to become unavailable and go up in value so will sell it after Christmas sometime. I have to admire his entreprenurial skills!!!
The charts HV use are so outdated, they aren't worth the paper they are written on.0 -
You get the charts when you're pregnant too - Its madness. I'm rebelling and not even taking my baby to be weighed at the clinic, what's the point when he's feeding fine and I can SEE he's putting weight on.
Did you order a cosy coupe LP?
You have a sensible lad Caroline!I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
I'm rebelling too. HV says she is coming to my home to discuss what services and support they offer well like F she is. poisonous dwarf!MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

Amazing insult there LP.
I was reading in families, relationships and marriages... and there's a thread about what Mum's wish they'd knew when they had their first borns... most of them said to ignore HV and everyone else, and go with your own instincts.
I mean, you made it! You normally know when a cake is big enough during baking right?MFW 2010- £112,500 + 20% Equity Loan = £150,000 35 years

hehe ztan my baking skills are legendary
I am starting to wonder if my aim for 2011 is a bit too pie in the sky. I do think its a challenge but I was initially of the opinion it was possibly just a slight stretch but really its a huge stretch.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Brings a whole new meaning to bun in the oven doesn't it LP?
I think it's good to aim high- ish... as motivation... but not sooo high it's totally unobtainable, because else you feel rubbish.
With little LP arriving next year... it might be a good time to relax on things a little and not put so much pressure on. (That's just my lazy side talking, which I give into far too often!)MFW 2010- £112,500 + 20% Equity Loan = £150,000 35 years
