I have no idea why, i'm searching about on ebay wondering if i should buy him one for Christmas. From what I can gather you can buy a 4 string one for about £60 from an ebay music shop, I do pinecone surveys for £3 a time and that goes into my paypal account but I never withdraw it just use as and when i need to buy something. I'm wondering if I should just bite the bullet as it would technically be a money neutral gift or even better I ask a sibling if she wants to join me and get him a book/plectrum as well and as she will pay half the cost technically i will be better off.

I have a feeling the original buyers really want the property but perhaps are struggling to finance after all these small increases in offers.

Are you going to join your dad in playing the banjo? The gift sharing seems like a good idea - go for it!

Actually speaking of Christmas I think I should declare the kids finished with the exception of small bits for their stockings.

We have a tradition christmas eve is new pj's for all, christmas DVD and bedtime story is 'night before christmas'. My dad always read it to us so I do the same. During the day we bake cookies so its cookies and milk for santa. We go outside to scatter reindeer food as its getting dark. OH thinks i'm half daft spending time dying sugar red and green then mixing it with oats but i'm told him its special, the reindeers need it to fly.

I am bizzarly getting excited about christmas, i got a fair bit toys wise in boots in January and again in the summer, peppa pig castle for £6 and georges rocket £3.50 and stuff. Also some cosmeticy stuff for sisters. My mum is a pain in the bum as is MIL but i think it will be jewellery. I try not do jewellery for family but MIL has outright asked DH to ask me to do her something with her favorite stone so i'll be doing that pretty soon. My dad usually a pain but banjo possibly, FIL is super pain, I don't like the man which doesn't help TBH but he is never polite about anything usually says he wants nothing for christmas/birthdays then complains you got him nothing or if you get him something compains about that. He likes whisky but says alcohol is not a real gift, i reckon i will get a bottle of whisky and he can suit himself.

Then it comes to me/OH. usually we have a limit of 200/300 each but TBH I need nothing, i have a tonne of perfume lots of jewellery i rarely wear, will be massivly pregnant and generally just don't *want* anything never mind need.

No idea, I can play acoustic and bass guitar reasonably well and its not all that different I don't suppose. With 2 kids I haven't been any where near my guitars in months so with 3 I doubt i will even get chance to have a wee never mind learn a new instrument.

I need to find out whats the difference between 4, 5 , 6 and 8 string bango's. :rotfl:well other than number of strings. :rotfl::rotfl:

    Afternoon.

I'm still in bed :) I have a dayof ebay listing and baking ahead of me, waiting on a delivery from Argos, between 7am and 3pm apparently.

We got a letter from ING direct today about our regular saver saying our bank had informed them we had changed accounts so they had updated records accordingly. We haven't changed banks that feeds that account, It was an A&L account that has now merged to santander but thats it. Very weird, I will call on Monday and ask
