not good I was.
Oh well thats one thing off my listMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
I have an e-bond with Nationwide, put in £1200 in Feb 10 at a 2.75% rate, not great but I will leave it there for about 5 years and see what happens.
OH is not sulking, luckily he's not that type or he would get a knuckle sandwich, a virtual one of course! He's now on Fifa 11 or some other rubbish, no swearing this time tho.
Have begun Xmas shopping, there's loads of sales on everywhere, whats that about??! Not that I'm complaining.....KimmyCustard :j0 -
AAAA we were both in bed for 9:30, DH starts at 5am so leaves the house sometime around 4:20-4:30am. He obviously can't leave quietly so I usually end up wakening then needing a wee about 4am, Kids then get up again about 6am.
Plan for the week is:- Get into my emails and see what survey sites I am member of
- Look at bank account provision. I have a flex account I used for spending abroad but thats now not as attractive as it was and I will not be abroad again until late 2012/2013 at the earliest so thinking of closing it rather than letting it just sit unused, It has about £38 in it so could be another small overpayment. Same for the account we use, We have an Abbey account that our childbenefit is paid into then an A&L account my wages are paid into. Both are now santander and TBH I am less than impressed with the service I have received from Santander with the merge etc, deleting faster payments, bouncing a DD for no reason other than they wanted to and stuff.
- Continue fielding the ebay questions
- Pay my credit card balance
- start wrapping some christmas presents
- phone fscs for update on case
- continue on the quest for a savings account
- try not over do things movement wise
- consider applying for a cashback credit card as I use my plastic then clear at end of month as is.
- think more about moving, do we need to buy right away or should we rent if we sell.
So that is my week. Lots of thoughts not alot of action. I just want to be settled, want a firm plan of action that means we all know what we are doing.
Currently show me show me is on cebeebies and miss mouse is missing, oh no. :rotfl:MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Morning LP,
You were in bed early! Although with your dodgy lower region, its prob better for you than sitting up on a computer!
My plans this week: (taking inspiration from you)
Clean our bathroom!
Organise Tesco grocery delivery
Search for Xmas presents on the net
Overtime on Tues
Get a letter from my prev car insurer confirming I have 9 years no claims bonus
Make some chicken and sweetcorn soup, mmmmmmmm.
For a new credit card, M and S are doing another 10 months interest free on all purchases, plus you build up points for vouchers which they send to you every quarter. Had it last time and was very good.
Wish I could buy another house for £130,000, add a 2 on the front down here and you may get 2 bedrooms for that.:eek:KimmyCustard :j0 -
:eek::eek: I have a 2 bed flat. 101k
really is the benefit of living in Scotland, yes wages are lower but cost of living is so much lower than the south east. :j:j
You reminded me, house insurace due end of month, quote me happy timeMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Just ordered coal as well, 250Kg of Homefire Ovals for £117.50. We have a multifuel stove (and central heating), very toasty in case of snow again this year!KimmyCustard :j0

Kimmy - i'm in Scotland we will get snow. Not got a coal fir though so don't have to worry about that. I am due in mid feb so blocked roads are a slight worry.
Well OH been home since 2pm, he has taken kids along the roadd to park before I lost my cool. DD2 is 2 and a quarter and is frmly in little brat mode. No matter what her big sister touched today she wanted, she has grabbed, nipped pulled hair and then when put in time out lashed out and caught me in the tender lower regions with a crunch. Not nice so I called me mum who came over for 90 mins to referree while codein kicked in and DH got home.
On the subject of Dh he got a statement today from cahoot, a savings account with £864 in it. He apparently put first installment of his student loan in it on the advice of student services or something as interest was more than would be paying and forgot! umm he has 20k of debt part of which was at almost 27% apr and he has over £800 sitting in an account he 'forgot about' must keep blood pressure in check. Apparently the address on it was his old address but its owned by santander and because we have joint accounts with A&L and Abbey and when the merge was completed they compared details and automatically updated the address. Seriously who just forgetts about a few hundred quid.
Oh and its some online account so they need to send him his sign on information so he can sign on and transfer it out. Oh he also thinks he had an account with inteligent finance and maybe egg but can't remember. NOT very intelligent if you ask me.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Hi Lilacpixie
re your quest for a savings account - do you have a Halifax kids regular saver? They pay 6%, you can pay up to 100pounds each month for each kids account you have. Payments run for a year ( no withdrawals allowed) then pay out into a passbook account which you can then withdraw from. Just a thought.......
Keep up the good work!0 -
£864 in an account he forgot about?! Sounds lovely! Off the debt or off the mortgage?? Got you thinking hasnt it......
I bet you get some snow up there, I love it but I know lots of people dont. Hopefully you wont be up to your armpits in it when its time for junior to put in an appearance. Sounds like your DD2 got you just in the wrong place, we dont have any little ones, thankfully.
Time to make that soup......KimmyCustard :j0 -
