Hello all - still reading my way through this thread but need some inspiration.
I'm doing both sets of parents (luckily all have very wicked senses of humour) an "old gits" hamper for xmas.
But I'm stuck as to what to put in them....
I've got some lovely fleecy blankets each - going to applique something fitting on them.
A humourous book each, grumpy old men, how to be the perfect housewife etc.
I've managed to pick up a huge wooden puzzle for one dad - the box is shabby so I'll just lable it as " so simple an 18 mth old could do it"....
But what else can I get - needs to be cheap, humourous and not completely useless...
Any ideas?"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Finished my xmas card list, minus my 3 boys class lists, but they come home around October. So I need to post 9 by second class post, 19 - through the local church (15p per card) and 3 by international post, the rest can be hand delivered to keep costs down. :xmastree:
Will transfer the handwritten list onto a database with the addresses too, so next year its just a case of printing the labels, instead of my usual last minute look through BT.com for addresses!0 -

:rotfl:i would have usually needed the help of my 6 year old DS, i wouldn't be able to do half the stuff on the computer if it wasnt for him.
But as it was midnight i thought some random buttom pressing was in order luckilly i managed to get it right.
Bit annoyed with coke zone this morning, i have managed to save up 100pts to get a £5 boots voucher and they arent doing them anymore!!! So i shalll have to get a £5 new look voucher instead.
I am waiting in all day for varios deliveries, so i can get some more bits done. I feel im rushing but i want as much of the handmade stuff done as possible before i have my baby, as i know i wont have the time or the energy one she's here. Then i can concentrate on the physical pressie buying and huntig i have to do.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Its quiet on here today - i hope its cos your all busy getting xmas sorted.
I went to B&M today and got some red & white tea towels and dishclothes for some novelty xmas gifts.
tea towels - £1.99 for 3
dishcloths 4 for £1
So £11 for 12 novelty gifts.
18 andrex loo rolls from Mr T 2 x 9 packs for £6 but used a £1.50 off voucher i got in saturdays paper so got them for £4.50. Just have to figure out how im gonna wrap them up. :T
I also picked up a few ben 10 and in the night garden items for my kids hampers as well including a few colouring carry packs and a couple of character torches.
I have also claimed my £5 new look voucher from cokezone so that is another pressie crossed of the list.
I also finally managed to track down those Mcvitie gold bars to add to the pots of treasure 2 packs for £1.50 in tesco's. The temptation to eat them is killing me.
So i shall be busy tonight whilst DF is on a night shift.
Our landlord has just given us 2 months notice to move:mad: even though we have only been here 4 months as they want to spent a load of money doing this house up so they can charge more rent, but we have been given the option to move into another one of their properties which they have just refurbished but the rent is double compared to where we live now. I am not very happy as im having a baby in 6 weeks so its a total nightmare. But the potential new house is stunning and has a garden and plenty of room for a whopping huge :xmastree: but its a case of ''can we afford it''.
So its a good job im all sorted for xmas, :rotfl::TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
