Only just learnt what snowman soup is! :o but now i know i like it! where do you get the cone bags from please?
Last year, I got my cone bags (they call them 'disposable icing bags') from my local Lakeland store, 50 bags for just over £5. You can purchase online from them too.

Tashja here's a picture of the kind of advent calendar I'm making for my OH this year:

Wow!! I love that idea. :T I have loads of odd socks lying around from my toddler - may not look the same though if they aren't christmas'sy colours.

I've got some DVD bargains this evening off Zavvi for my movie hampers - starting from £1.95!!

Yeah, I'm going to make little stockings from felt instead of using the baby socks, and decorate them all with different pretty things. There's quite a lot of good pictures and guides if you just search 'stocking advent calendar' or something similar into Google :) Already started buying a few little bits to go in it :D

Got a glass cookie jar from Mr T earlier for a quid, going to fill it with sweeties for my OH, and my dvd arrived from play.com yesterday too (excellent service, said allow 3-5 days for delivery, got here in 2). Everywhere I go I'm spotting things and thinking 'ooh, that'd be good for Christmas!'

Lol I am the same!! I need to take a slight step back now and see exactly what I've already got!!

I'm also doing a jar instead of tub for the sweeties, I need to do a trip to Ikea for mine because I need some for the gift in jars too. Was thinking about going tomorrow.... then thought Ikea on a Friday with a toddler - think i'll reconsider lol.

I've also decided tonight instead of buying my mum loads of bits and bobs I'm just going to buy her a Dior or Clarins gift set. At least she'll use all of it and its what she loves.

I'm so excited :j I even got my 3 year old excited the other day, we were upstairs talking about Santa and his elves. When we went downstairs he opened the door and said "Merry Christmas" then was disapointed because it wasn't Christmas yet lol. Can't wait until this year because its the first year he will be really excited!! :T:T:T

watched a christmas film on tv yesterday gave me a warm fuzzy glow LOL

we went to the matalan clearance store in Killingworth near Newcastle and i got a santa ho ho ho wooden door hanger for £1.50 but the things i was most impressed with were the tree decorations of both cocktail glasses and cocktail shakers will look good in the cocktail hampers im doing for daughters and at 63p each a bargain.
i also managed to get ,from car boots,a brand new in box 4 bottle bar butler and a nearly new petrol pump type thing for delivering booze both £4

i think i should be able to start gathering my hamper stuff all together soon at the mo its all in different boxes on top of wardrobe but i also want to start making the things i need to make but cant get time on my own to do this-others would always see and be nosey

There was cocktail themed christmas tree decorations?! Is it easy to get to the store from Newcastle city centre? I'd love to get some! Sounds like the kind of place I would end up spending way too much money in though :o

    giggle - love what you've done..........brilliant :T

claire - super idea for an advent calendar.
I managed to pick up a felt one with pockets for each day for little grandson so his mum and dad are just going to pop little treats in it.
I do want to make felt decorations though........stockings, snowmen =stuff like that. Have to google for a pattern for those I think
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Im off tomorrow shopping, because I have a clear week and nothing to pay out of my carers allowance, except food of course. Poundland, Boots (got 5 quids worth of points, then home to knit! Am definately in the Christmas mood. Love the hamper idea, have done them years ago but will be using the idea again!
