I have set an excel sheet up to keep track of what i've been buying and have been buying things over the last few months. but there still seems so much to still buy!!! my mum and dad are a real pain to buy for, i have a better idea of what to get my MIL and FIL!! I hate buying presents for everyone!!

    Hi

Have a look at this thread:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1990003

Lots of ideas on there but generally people add
    PJ's
    Slippers
    Xmas DVD's
    Sweets or Popcorn
    Hot Chocolate
    Snuggly Blanket
Bath bombs or shower gel etc
    Maybe a new toothbush
    Santa Mug & Plate
    Santa Key
Maybe some baking items so you can bake with the kids

    Hope this helps!

    Lou

Ragz - I have the recipe I'll pm you later...;)

Thanks Valli, just got it. Tried to PM you back but your inbox was full and it wouldn't send
Thanks so much for taking the time to send me that, looks yummy, will have to do a trial run and it eat it all!

Made mince pies earlier as I had the urge and a jar of shop bought mincemeat (didn't want to get my HM out of the freezer yet).
I always add extra cinnamon and a slug of brandy to jars of mincemeat...
Unfortunately I keep the bottle of cider vinegar next to the brandy and
    lol
Luckily I noticed before I mixed it in so poured off and rinsed, then put brandy in (little more than usual lol)
they taste lovely though, had some warm with cream for pudding, mmm feeling all xmassy now!

Can anyone advise on fake xmas trees? I have never had one but decided it will be easier and cheaper in the long run. Is it something worth spending a bit on and getting a good one, do I go for prelit? Any advice welcome
    Thanks

For my 2 and 3 year old DS' I did a small tin bucket each (instead of a hamper, they were 99p and have cute pics on) filled with a new pair of PJs, toothbrush that lights up, slippers and a glowstick. Also giving them a fishing game (99p) and probably some treats. these will all be left by our xmas Elf!
