father in laws book arrived today!
at my local shops there is a little clothes shop and had a window display saying £5 sale. went in and found a cardigan for my nan which she would love. it was originally £24.99 so even better.
so thats 1 nanna finished with the cardi and a royal jelly gift set that was a gift im recycling, total price £5 bonus!
so im getting there slowly but surely.
spent the afternoon shopping with mother and father in law they bought me a months worth of nappies, 3 joints of beef, a big pork loin joint and a gammon joint and 120 wash wasing powder in makro amongst other things so thats a big help atm with me being so skint! a little more to spend on xmas pressies now!
then we went to toys r us to get my kids scooters from the inlaws for xmas and ds's birthday presents. it was really busy and EVERYONE was talking about/buying things for christmas! it was great, its now officially the right time to talk about the festive season in public! bout time too!0 -
Can anyone recommend something I can serve to my vegetarian mum on xmas day? She's not too keen on ready made veggy products like Linda MC etc so anything like that would have to be pretty tasty and recommended by an actualy veggy - otherwise is there something I can easily make myself as an alternative to the meat, not nut loaf as there's only one of her.

Am feeling quite proud of myself today...got my Goddaughter's Christmas present (a VTech My Laptop) at Argos for the bargainous price of £14.99, lots of bits for my brother's present, and the end of my mum's present, as wella s the chocolate to go inside my friend's camper van money box.
I've never been this organised about Christmas before. Now my only problem is to not carry on buying bits and pieces to add to the existing presents I've already got when I see them.

I'm off to Dobbies tomorrow, their xmas shop is up and running. On their web site I've seen a candy/choc plate that looks like a xmas pudding for £4.99. I thought I might put chocs on it and gift wrap it for my great aunt.***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0

Your welcome! My nephew of 3 has had one since he was...oh, two...and his spelling is quite phenomenally scary for his age. He can read and spell a huge number of words, including words like 'window' and 'balloon'. This computer really helped him get to grips with the basics.
That's why darling goddaughter (just coming up to two) is getting one as well! Please call me 'Pickle'

I have made 3 pFREE personalised xmas books for my kids.
The FREE pages to make the stories can be found here: http://www.northpole.com/Overview/StoryList.html
I then put a piece of a4 card round them and decorated the front of it. Where it says starring it does state my kids names but i covered it up to keep their annominity.
What do you think?
I have also named each of them a star which is also FREE. But i paid $2 to have the FREE name a star logo removed from the top of their certificates. These can be found here: http://www.freenameastar.com/register.php
I know this isnt xmas related but i also made these to for halloween, but they might inspire you to make something similar for xmas.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
