Am feeling quite proud of myself today...got my Goddaughter's Christmas present (a VTech My Laptop) at Argos for the bargainous price of £14.99, lots of bits for my brother's present, and the end of my mum's present, as wella s the chocolate to go inside my friend's camper van money box.
Thank you for the idea, I like the look of this for my son. He turns 2 next month but it says suitable for ages 3+. Is that more for intelligence level and being able to handle it, rather than small parts? I think he'd be able to manage it fine but I haven't seen it yet.Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -

Most toys state suitable from 3.
My son has one who is 7 and has hardly ever played with it in the years he has had it, but my DD who has only just turned 2 has been playing with it for the last 8 months. She has no concept of what she is supposed to do with it, but she loves the noises the buttons make. She is slowly understaning it more so by the time she is 3 she will have mastered it.
I think you have to see if it will interest your son long enough. Or will he get frustrted with it and not bother anymore.
If i only stuck to toys for 2 year old my DD would be screaming the house down with boredom as it would be too easy for her, so i prefer to get her something that is above her age level to keep her intrigued.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

....any suggestions for my sons sack? i worried he may end up with nothing. He did just have a garage, cars and a ball pit for this birthday last week.
If he hasn't got them already, I can recommend Play Skool Busy Ball Popper & Playskool Busy Gears - both on offer at Argos at the moment and if you can spend another £20 on something then you'll also get a £5 voucher. My boys both loved these at his age and for a long time after that.

My mum does a cheese pie which is so popular even the non vegetarians (like my nephew) eat it...she also serves it up when she has friends round for the same reason! It actually gets requested! This could be made as an individual pie prettily trimmed and glazed...
Sounds good, don't suppose you have a recipe or description of the filling? I am doing cheesy leeks though so may clash with that. She's very easy going and is happy to eat a roast with just the veg (as she did my whole childhood) but I feel she misses out so I wanted to do her something special.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

I've just ordered a larder fridge & freezer from Argos ready to start picking up bits and pieces for Christmas. I've taken to buying the party selections and doing DD and I a buffet lunch/tea over new year as a special treat since she often goes away between Christmas and New Year to her dad & his family.
Also ordered DD a cheapish lava lamp to put in her room on her new desk. So that will be the biggest thing in her hamper this yearI think she's just about done now.
Just parents, brother, ex , uncle, aunt to go (plus stuff from DD for them but she's said she's making stuff this year):T Oh and lots and lots of cards!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm having a tree dilemma, I quite fancy a black tree and because I have loads of cute girly pink ornaments I don't think it would too gloomy and gothy. I saw some lovely black and silver baubles at work today but can't decide whether they'd just get lost on the black branches or if I'd have to buy all pink baubles but then would it look too pink?
We already have two green trees in the house, but I can't picture a green tree with black and silver and pink ornamnets looking very good. Does anyone else have a black tree, and if so how do you decorate it?
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0 -
