I just had to say, I did my mum and sis's pink smellies bag yesterday and it looks fab!!

The bags were from Primark and only cost £1 but they look much more expensive, and I lined them with 99p pink tissue paper and I must say Im really proud of myself!! Normally I would just buy Lush boxes which are nice but Ive really enjoyed getting the perfect little bits to put in them!!

    They contain -
Virgin Vie Pretty Calm Shower Gel
Two scented candles each, also from Virgin Vie (I got shimmer powder and body gloss worth £25 with these two as I spent £25, that I used for my best mates pressie)
Soap and Glory travel size Hand Food hand cream (bought with Advantage Points so technically free)
Pink shower scrunchies (hunted high and low for the best - Superdrug, £1! Bargainous :j
Vaseline Rose lipsalve (Advantage points again)
Per Una body spray (this was really cheap! it was shoved right to the back - dont know why?)
And a slice of Lush soap each. But I got them to cut it specially so it was only £2, I could have got cheaper soap but have to be careful with Mum's skin.

Was going to do a proper hamper but sensible OH pointed out it wouldnt fit in car boot

Not much left to go now - a few more bits Im getting next month. I have on money and really want to finish my shopping now!!!

how stupid, glad the bits i ordered are for another household!

I know. I sent them an email complaining and suggesting a warning next to this type of item might be a good idea as I could have had it delviered elsewhere, and I had a very polite and very apologetic email back to be fair to them. No freebie or voucher though. lol Worth a try.

I think £14.99 is the cheapest you'll get it tbh. The first series was £11 in asda today but Im guessing she wants the 2nd series for the yummy Mr Tennant? :D (I hope she's not really young now Ive said that. :o)

I always look for cheap DVDs by using this website: http://www.find-dvd.co.uk/ (Replace the word DVD with 'book' or 'CD' and you can search for the best deals on those too! ) Only online sales, but it helps me!! £13.75 seems the cheapest for Doctor Who Series 2 at Zavvi or 3p more at Amazon!

    4 x teacup candles
    2 x reindeers
    9 x flannel / sock cupcakes
5 x peg bags and decorated pegs

This will be complimented by the various fruit gin / vodka ive been making (vanilla, raspberry, damson, sloe) and chutneys and jam. Hope people like them, I know I would, (but I am abit funny really and want a bottle cutter for Xmas)

I'm new to this thread but I have started buying and saving for Xmas. I've bought our Xmas sweets, Asda have had tins of roses etc for £5, bought a silver sequin bag from Primark for £8 for our daughter and a box of Dairy Milk for £2 and Cadbury biscuits for £2 for my great aunt. I do save our family allowance to pay for kids Xmas but we do have a max spend for their presents, so we don't go mad. Fortunately we do not have to buy for lots of family members. I'm starting to look forward to Xmas now. xxx

  • I've got a new job working for a website that only sells personalised greetings cards and gifts, I've been doing some testing on the new website and I really like the personalised calendars that we do.

We are launching on Monday 19th October 2009 but we are live as we speak. As a new user to this site if I wanted to share a money off voucher where would I post it?

I don't want to get into trouble
  • wahooo - thanks for the argos help - i managed to get the ones i wanted :-)
