I did some Christmas shopping today :)

I got some sweets for OH's sweetie jar - Chocolate limes 99p, mini Wham bars 89p, and 5x 10p bags of Tangfastics

Also picked up 3 sachets of coffee for OH's stocking 10p each from B&M in latte and mocha. And a pack of 4 lighters and a box with 8 packs of rolling papers in from Home Bargains, and a big chocolate coin for 35p from Sainsbury's also to go in the stocking.

Also from Sainsbury's a box of Green and Blacks mini chocolate bars reduced to £1.50 to go into OH's mam and dad's food hamper. They were half price from £3.99 to £2, then they had a yellow reduced sticker saying £1.50, but they have a date of October 2010. They were next to some G&B after dinner mints with the same reduction which had a date of October 2009 so they must have got them mixed up?

Oh, also got 2 pink glittery tree decorations for 50p, and a packet of white chocolate chunks and cranberries from B&M for 29p so will make some White choc chunk and cranberry Christmas Cookies to put in the foodie hamper, use by date is december 2009 but they should be eaten by that anyway?

  • Just put the sweets in the jar, and they filled it right to the top, I thought it was going to need another bag at least :rotfl:

So that's the first present finished, and it cost a total of £3.37 :j

When will it be ok to put things like marshmallows and bon bons in jars and tubes ?
I've got some jars that will be 'pots of snowballs' and some tubes I've concocted into snowmen (of a sort......lol). They're all done, labels and ribbons........just need the sweets now and don't want to do it too early so they go a bit 'iffy'
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I am not planning on making any of my bits like that up till December but just keep them all together so you know what you've got for whom.
I am making some snowman soup and reindeer poop etc for fairs as well as relations hampers and not doing ones for fairs till a week before...just getting all the labels done before!;)

I think I have most of my presents sorted.... just immediate family to sort.... DS1 's stocking is sorted. Main present have some ideas but waiting as he changes his mind constantly!
DS2 is only going to be 1 so still thinking on it.
DH- have a terrys choc orange from sainsburys 2 for £2. (Hope they last!:D)other than that no idea!!!!!!
Also have DS2's 1st birthday DH birthday in Nov, Mum in Dec and Sis, niece, bro and SIL bdays in OCT!!!!!!!!!!!! Got niece sorted though.
    Sorry so long...:rotfl:

May steal the Rizlas idea for my OH, he smoke liqourice ones and they are a pain to get hold of sometimes, last thing we want to do is run out on xmas day. Will pop a handful in his stocking! Thanks.
