    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Husband is graciously permitting me to do his Christmas shopping for him.* We saw a shop selling shiny garden gnomes that my mother would love, so I bought a set of 3 - and two gnome-shaped candles fell into my basket.

Husband saw them and decreed that we needed More Gnomes, and so we ransacked Ebay for them.

Rather than conventionally wrap them, we bought a plaque that says "Beware of the Gnomes" and will be putting it in a nice giftbox. We will then be hiding gnomes all over the house and garden.

We bought enough for next year, too :rotfl:

Naturally this is because he loves me, not because he CBA ;)

sugarspun - not a gnome fan but what a lovely idea.
Have you got one small enough to tuck in your bag without OH knowing and when you go out somewhere, take a piccy of it and send it to him, like a postcard ?
When Mum moved into the care home and her house was sold the only thing my youngest son wanted was a little gnome my Dad kept in the downstairs loo. He always told my kids to say 'hello' to it if they went to the loo. Son never forgot and once he had the gnome he took it all over Worthing where he lives and took photos of it to send to my Mum............on the pier, on the beach, park bench...........all the places we'd taken my Mum. She loved it..................lol:rotfl:
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hey Wardy - i have just looked online and they do have them; they are called 'Funkin'.
i cant get a link to work, so if you go to www.sainsburys.co.uk and type in Funkin in the search it should come up with them all; cosmo, passionfruit etc.
Glad been able to help add extra to the cocktail hampers!

i think they look good...might have to try a few myself!

P.S - just looked on google, if you buy straight from the Funkin website then you can buy mixed batches of 8 different mixers for £6.44, there is £3.99 postage, but if you cant get to a sainsburys and want the various flavours and have a few cocktail boxes to make this could also be good idea! by the looks of it too you can order as much as needed and its just £3.99 postage.
there is different things on the website to - juice ones as well! :)
:heart2:Married my Prince Charming on 15th April 2011 - perfect day!

Our little princess born 8th June - she is amazing!! :grinheart

  • yay boots and christmas makes me forget the stress of moving house!!!!!!
let he without sin cast the first stone
  • speaking of boots, a little off topic story for you here....

3years ago when i was pregnant with my ds, i didnt do the normal nesting thing, i did the xmas one lol!
he was due 16th dec but came on the 29th. i was so obsessed with getting everyones xmas presents ready that i didnt leave the house without my boots catalogue with me this started in october right up until the big day. i had at least 1 copy in every room!
i 'studied' it constantly, rewrote lists of presents to buy, etc

it got so bad that i was waking up every night to look at the boots book and rewrite my lists, even though nothing had changed!! i was up for upto 4 hours everynight!! when i did sleep i was dreaming of the pages

i was a mess at work because i was sleep deprived and they was all sick of hearing me talk about 'item number 7 page 31'
when i left they gave me £50 gift card for... you guessed it! BOOTS!

i was totally obsessed! i couldnt wait for xmas that year just so i could get a decent nights sleep!
