Sounds like a prime candidate for being avoided. Take care. Not everyone on the net is as nice as the people here.

    For anyone doing Movie Hampers-

Morrisons now have cheap Dvds as well, all the supermarkets seem to be doing cheap ones at the mo. My local Morrisons had Bob the Builder dvds for £1! I picked up three different ones as stocking fillers for my wee boy. I also got West Side Story for DH's cousin who loves musicals. Just need to get my Dad and his GF dvds and I'm sorted!

Oh and Instore/Poundstretcher have 25% off all their wicker baskets at the mo, not sure how long its on for.
  • Hey all, for those of you doing cocktail hampers my local sainsburys they have squirty pouches of cocktail mixes - cosmopolitan, mohito etc, they are only 99p too. just need to add the spirit so that might be some good fillers :o)

also these be good for any brothers hampers etc, am going to get some for my boyf to put in his stocker!
:heart2:Married my Prince Charming on 15th April 2011 - perfect day!

Our little princess born 8th June - she is amazing!! :grinheart

Honeymoon Disney World Florida - Jan 2012!

I just have to share this - I mentioned OH wanted a multi-region DVD player that I was prepared to pay about £150-170 for as the only ones I had found were about this price.

Just done a bit of digging and found one in Currys for the absolutely fantastically bargainous price of £29.99!!! Have reserved it online and going to pick it up tomorrow. Unfortunately had to tell OH as Currys only reachable by car... but I had a little win on the quiz machine in the pub this evening (£10) so that will go towards it so will only have to put £20 on my card. Im so chuffed.... and feeling so MSE!!!

Just wanted to say I love you!! This perfect for my OH as I was racking my brains on what to get him.

This thread has really got me exicted, we start our christmas shopping
roundabout now as I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks and the last time I went near the shops in December I almost ended up in A+E as I paniced so bad I couldn't breath and my arm went dead. For the last 2 years we just ordered DVDs etc from the internet but I want to be a bit more creative this year and plan on making some hampers.

Mum- Going to get the hat boxes from tescos and fill the bottom with a dressing gown and some jammies and the top with some home-made christmas cake. In the middle going to fill with puzzle books as she is on dialysis and hopefully it will help fill the time while she is there.

Futrue MIL- Pretty much the same but something else in the middle not sure what yet.

Dad- Some beers and a beer glass and whiskey glass. Also a cheese board but not a store bought one- going to get cheap board and knife and buy 4 cheeses and some crackers.

Female siblings (mine and my OH's sisters + sil-5 in total)- Loads of smelly stuff- looking for buy one get one free offers on shower gel and such. Foams puffs, exfoliating mitts and candles. Also some home-made sweets like tablet, truffles and mini xmas cakes.

Male siblings (2 in total)- similar to my dad but with home made sweets instead of cheese. Probaly throw in a can or 2 of lynx.

Pets- 6 cats( not all of them are mine). Stocking up on treats adding an extra bag everytime we do a shop (dreamie treats are 2 for 2 quid in asda so buy one for now one for xmas), plus little catnip mice some balls with bells and a tin of applaws turkey for xmas dinner.

Niece- 9months at xmas, basket with some babygrows socks etc and a soft toy and some noisy things that babies seem to like.

Niece and nephew, 6 and 10 by xmas- They are going to disneyland paris in March so my sister wants me to give them cash for it so buying a payg credit card that I'll put money on every week from xmas til march. Giving a hamper with fake jewellary and lip balms for my niece and a simpsons one for my nephew so they have something on the day. Also want to make them a gingerbread house if I can find a recipe as I know they will love it.

So far sourced some cheap baskets on ebay that hopefully I'll win the bid for and cellophane (sp?) and tissues paper to cover the plastic and some nice thick ribbon. Going to try going into town at least once a week (this is because I'm undergoing CBT for panic attacks and this is part of my therapy- heaven for some but hell for me).

Oh one more thing, some people mentioned making a hamper for tea drinkers- Asda currently have boxes of speciality twinnings tea (has 20 bags) for 50p, offhand I know they have green tea and cammomile. Perfect for someone who likes posh tea!
