3years ago when i was pregnant with my ds, i didnt do the normal nesting thing, i did the xmas one lol!
he was due 16th dec but came on the 29th. i was so obsessed with getting everyones xmas presents ready that i didnt leave the house without my boots catalogue with me this started in october right up until the big day. i had at least 1 copy in every room!
i 'studied' it constantly, rewrote lists of presents to buy, etc
it got so bad that i was waking up every night to look at the boots book and rewrite my lists, even though nothing had changed!! i was up for upto 4 hours everynight!! when i did sleep i was dreaming of the pages
i was a mess at work because i was sleep deprived and they was all sick of hearing me talk about 'item number 7 page 31'
when i left they gave me £50 gift card for... you guessed it! BOOTS!
i was totally obsessed! i couldnt wait for xmas that year just so i could get a decent nights sleep!
lol! you should have told boots this story - they might have given you a baby hamper! (mind you maybe that only applies if you have your baby in boots or name your baby boots!) you could tell the magazine.......Cc debt; £4950 Tesco - £3.37 Boots - £3.94 £2 pot - £0.00 Sealed pot NO40 - £7.87 no spend days jan-3/31 £2 savers = £60 -
Hello all
well actually made a start on my sons Christmas stuff yesterday - not a lot more stocking stuffers but have been getting bits.
Thank you to whoever mentioned tesco reducing stock - his brother has these click together Ben 10 aliens which he loves and they were meant to be £4.97 each in tesco but they were reduced down to £2.50 so grabbed two of them and have put them aside for him now. Also our local magazine had a deal that if you brought the newspaper you got a free book - its a Disney book about dinosaurs so paid for a newspaper (40p) and got the book then gave the newspaper to colleague in work who always buys it as I wouldn't read it.
Also still cracking on with mums cross stitch - not a lot to do on it now just trying to find one thread but i only need a few strands of it so trying to hold out on buying a new bunch of it.
Also wanted to ask an opinion.
My little boy Ben is 5 and although he is a typical boy he loves reading and bed time stories. I was thinking of getting him a book case for his bedroom - his books are in piles around the room, and then raiding charity shops etc and getting an empty box and filling it with all the books I'd found. IT would help as a storage item too but also a present for him and the books as a present too. They wouldn't be his main gift obviously but do you think it would be a good idea?Time to find me again0 -

I'd probably wrap the books either separately or in piles according to size, then put them on the bookshelf and "wrap" the bookshelf too (in a sheet tied up with a long ribbon or just with a bow made of a scarf stuck to it).
I'm a fan of GIANT PRESENTS!!!!!
Can I ask for help about buying for boys please? There's a nine year old and a six or seven year old boy, my nephews (by marriage, and I've not met them yet) but I'm in charge of buying their gifts. I know nothing about boys of that age.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
