I have my lists on teh computer as well as a final draft in my christmas folder. Then when Im done I highlight then list in my christmas folder and use a colour change and different font on the comp to let me know ive done it.
ALSO meant to add is anyone else buying for pets this Xmas? I have 2 dogs, 1 puppy, 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs , 2 terrapins and a bearded dragon to include!:eek::eek::eek:
before you ask
me - 1 JRT + terrapins
sister - puppy + kitten
mum - 2 older rescue cats
MIL - 1 rescue dog
SIL - guinea pigs
Dad - bearded dragon.
There should also be a python to the list of family pets but wouldn't know where to start with that! Think a trip to PAT is a must this year.
Hi all, just jumping right in here.Sammy, beardy is easy, be ur best friend if you get him/her some crickets. snake, a lovely frozen rodent. not to be defrosted before xmas day! lol. you can get lots of treats for guinea pigs. i have a recipe somewhere for dog and cat biscuits, easy to make and all our pooches and kitties go daft for them .i'll try and look it out if you want it. Not a clue with the terrapins. maybe a new plant or rock for them to climb on?
I've been busy knitting double nickels for pretty much everyone in my family except nephew as his hands are too little, he's only 9mnths. making raggy blankets for xmas snuggling, loving the idea of a xmas eve hamper!! going to do retro sweet jars snowman soup and reindeer food again this year. all went down v. well.
i couldn't get sugar crystals anywhere last yr tho. but any1 who needs, approved foods have them now. 2 for £1 i think. expecting my delivery tomorrow.
hope no1 minds me jumping in.Unfortunately,
MONEY makes the world go round.
Bah Humbug!!!!

Hi All
I spent yesterday afternoon and evening reading the whole thread! I've got loads of Christmas bits already and got some more bits from Poundland after info here. The 2 pure things they'd got in my Poundland were Foaming Souffle which is Botanics Foaming Bath Float and Super Firming Body Cream which is No7 Fabulously Firming Body cream.

I have seen some pink boxes in poundland thought that they would make a good alternative to a basket for a hamper and you can use it again.
I love this site, started in earnest my shopping now, only wish I had the money to do some more.
Making bunnies with tea towels and flannels for my friends that are married/living with partners as a silly gift but useful!0 -
I just bought a Razer Diamondback gaming mouse as my OH's main present from eBay, any fellow geeks got any reviews for it? I'm excited to be going on a supplies trip to Boyes tomorrow so should be able to start posting some pictures in the Crafty for Christmas thread soon :T Thanks everyone for your suggestions of what to get my nanna, a tea hamper is quite a good idea thinking about it as she drinks loads of tea, with some nice biccies and a mug maybe.D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0

This is my first post here.I saw someone mentioned the star wars lego offer in the Daily Mirror but they weren't near a shop to get them.I got them last year and you could send the tokens away and pay postage-i think it was about £5 but it's still cheaper than buying the toys.I put them in LO's stocking last year and am doing the same this year.0

Hi Jue - how did you find out about the bathfloat stuff - that's a £5 in Boots (gorgeous but too pricey to buy myself) - note to self find poundland and get some
Someone (Sammykaye perhaps) posted about the money cards in Card Factory. They are 79p for one but 5 for a pound and last year they sold out...so that's another errand I shall buy 5 'just in case'. In fact last year EVERYWHERE sold out herabouts....
ETA we haven't got one in Valliland BUT there's one in Crystal Peaks - oooh I feel a shopping trip coming on...***purse runs away and hides***Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I found a recipe for Blackberry Whisky (just blackberries, sugar and whisky) that I thought would make great presents. Went to Mr S expecting the cheapo whisky to be approx £7-8 a bottle but the cheapest was approx £11 a bottle (and we want 4 bottles). The vodka, gin and rum were still under £7 (in case anyone is making flavoured vodka or sloe/damson gin). So OH is making a trip to Mr T's in the morning so fingers crossed!:p0

Yes, I got that set last year, was brilliant value. Think they're keeping us in the dark about if we can send away for them this time. I do hope so as they are fantastic. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Hello, Post Pals is auctioning off various bits of jewellery (some of the bits cost £40 and are yet to be bid on), the money goes to help seriously ill children. the link is http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/album.php?aid=120994&id=648477107&ref=mf
Does anyone have a link to a printable tea holder? I've seen the lovely ones some of you have made but im not very good at paper things and have enough to be doing! I think its a brilliant idea as we have friends in germany who always stock up on tea bags when they visit (they leave a large spacein their suitcase just for teabags!!) plus they always ring in the afternoon on christmas day, so it seems perfect for them.
I'm after some cups and saucers (about 4 maybe) and a couple of cocktale glasses, does anyone know a good place to get some cheep ones? i found a cup and saucer for £2 on the debenehams site but is anywhere cheeper? I found cocktale glases for under £2 from ikea but not sure if anyone i know is going there in time.
