i got a really nice mixing bowl from wilkinsons for £1.50, its silver with a lovely bright blue outside. is a good size too - perfect for my best friends cake hamper - got some lovely pretty cases etc to add to it! am very excited about giving it to her for her birthday as she is going to love it!
wilkinsons have loads of good bits to be honest - not for xmas but i got a garden parasol (black material) for £6.50! was originally £15 before end of the summer sale! am really pleased with it - cant use it at the moment as we live in a flat, but will be moving to a house in march so even better as will have a garden!....plus SO much more room for christmas decorations and present hiding! yay!
hope everyone is having good weekends and if shopping finding some good bargains!:heart2:Married my Prince Charming on 15th April 2011 - perfect day!

Rummer im doing cocktail hampers and scrapbook tins for my girls as their main pressie and have been picking up bits and pieces for a while.i got some xmas tree decorations from matalan clearance store couple of mkonths ago-3d cocktail shaker and martini glass in metal for under £1 each.i keep searching ebay for all things cocktail related am even thinking about getting them the cocktail dvd lol
started on my pots of gold the other day-i got a set of 3 diff sizes of yellow metal buckets in asda at summer time and made holes and put eyelets in them used my crop-o-dile craft tool for the first time and was a bit more fiddly than i expected but was ok still got to do more to them
scrapbook tins-finished using alcohol inks over them and did some metal hearts as well which i was going to attatch using said crop-o-dile but it doesnt fit because lip on tin lid is too think so now looking for something to make a hole in the metal easily dont fanct using a drill and it has to be a certain size for the eyelets -hoping someone can help
tinksy i think its a fab idea about using feebies for a present. dont say anything and the recipient will be none the wiser
jemtom isnt it great when you can find a brand new item in a charity shop especially if its something you have been looking for
love to all

Loving this thread you guys!!! I just adore Christmas but hate spending ridiculous amounts of money on people who have everything they need anyway.
This year we've decide to make it all about the children. We will buy for children in the family, and our mums and that's it. So no more crazy mad shopping at the last minute buying presents 'just for the sake of it' - I WILL be organised!! And most definitely not in debt.
I'm thinking of the retro sweetie jars for our parents, think they will go down really well :-)
