OH dismantled cork board yesterday and with the help of painted chappie here I got the cork cut to fit on the pretty place mats I'd bought.........all different sizes so not too much design was hidden.............stuck them on now so thats six more pressies done...........all for under £1:T Think I'm getting there at last -now I can see who's having what without getting muddled.............:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

the travel pillows are a good idea should have thought of them myself as we used them when we went on holiday! thank you,
A torch? Some of the maglite type ones come in a useful pocket size. I ALWAYS take one when I go abroad...just in case!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

We're thinking of what to get my FIL, my wife has no idea, but he likes fishing, but is always complaining about his head being cold. I thought of a beanie hat, then I saw one that had been Crochered. My wife is not the craft type, so I thought I'd give it a go. Told her and she's not stopped laughing since. Not because I can't/wouldn';t be able to do it, but because I'm a man, and she can't imagine me sat in my chair crochering.(sp).[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Well had a productive day yesterday
Went into card factory and brought 40 little cards for 99p - with cute puppies on them. Figure I have about 120 cards to send this year so might as well buy a few and make some but I think the ones for close family I will buy as they had some really nice ones there.
Plus one of the swaps I'm doing is an international one so fancy sending some 'welsh' cards to the ones in the USA.
Also brought 5 money pockets for £1 so that money pockets for step sister, step brother, 2 x cousins and one to go in Ben's Xmas eve hamper with money for Rudolph's carrots/biscuits etc and figure by the time I've made them it would cost me a lot more than that!
Went into pound land and brought 2 of the 'just for girls' boxes to make into retro sweet boxes for my eldest cousin and sister,
Also brought two mugs in Wilkinson's.
one is a tall mug with 'morning gorgeous' written on it with love hearts down the handle which was 99p.
the other is a smaller mug which is purple I think with 'high maintenance' written on the front of it.
Also home bargains I got two small pink princess rucksacks that were meant to be £3.99 each reduced down to 79p each as a star buy so they are going in my nieces hampers each.
Also decided that instead of baskets I'm going to buy some Xmas gift bags and put the items wrapped into them as they are easier to seal and easier to transport!
Oh and I will shamefully admit to having a touch of the deviousness about me today - saw the bracelet I wanted to buy for my mum in the window today and was showing my friend it but as I moved another girl and her friend started looking at it and she said I'm going to buy that tomorrow No its mine! So went in to ask if they would have any more turquoise beads in - to which the assistant replied - we will be getting batches of beads but we don't know what will be in there. I said ' oh b*gg*r I wanted it for my mum for Xmas but I haven't got £50 to pay for it now'. So said thank you and went to leave and was called back by another assistant in the shop who explained the other girl had just been taken on and was 'in training' and had forgotten to tell me that they have a payment scheme! turns out they will put the bracelet aside for me if I come in and make regular payments and the whole thing is paid off in 3 months (so i make that beginning of December!) but I needed to pay 20% today which worked out at £9.80! so I forwent my coasters and clips for notebook holders today (I'd of only spent more on paper etc) and put down the 20% for the bracelet which has now been taken off display and put in their safe! was landed - she also said if i go in and make regular payments then the deadline for payment isn't so strict. So I now sort of have my mums Xmas present too. So I make that a little over £13.00 a month but figure if I can pay £15 - I'll get it mid November and its done and gotten ready then - just wish I could see her face when she opens it now though!Time to find me again0 -
Giggle - managed to get on in the end............must have been technical hiccup...................lol Brilliant :T You're so clever :T
sammy - well done with all your shopping -what bargains :TI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

2 x scribblers for my dd and ds from early learning centre reduced to £13.40 theres 20% off all art and craft at the minute
i bought 6 of the 'pure' products from £1shop. when i peeled the labels off, 5 of them were from the botanics range which i will mak eup as a little hamper for my dads gf and one was a no7 which will go into my mums hat boxes for her birthday.
in boots they had some of the no7 tanning stuff reduced (all to 4pound somethin) and i had 2 of the £5 off no7 and ruby n mille, these vouchers worked on the reduced stuff! i got a overnight gradual tan and a facial gradual tan. so they will also go into the hatboxes (its slowly turning into a no7 hamper!!)
in b&m i got a little thomas teh tank torch for ds for the xmas eve hamper for £1.29. cant find one for dd though, any ideas?
i got some fairy wings and a wand reduced to £1.50 in asda the other night so taht will go with dd's fairy dress
in tescos and home bargains i got some more little bits and bobs for the kids hampers all for under 50p
in home bargains there was a 'puppy in my pocket, pet palace' rrp £24.99 but only £9.99 in there! i had asked my friend to pick me up a jessie doll from toy story (£10) as she works next to toys r us and instead of giving her the money i bought the puupy thing for her to give her little girl (although i want to get her it, but shes asked me for the fashion show one!)
got a nice letter from sainsburys this morning with a £20 gift card inside, even though he told me they could only send the £15 i had been overcharged, so that was me £5 up! think i will keep this aside and get some dvds for the movie hampers i making
so was really happy today until i came home and found out that my nanna has gone blind in her left eye and has only partial sight in her right. shes known for months but didnt tell any1 and as a result nothing can be done0 -
