Thanks for this! There's no 2-night minimum on this one that I can see and I've been keeping my eyes open for this sort of a deal...going to discuss with hubby and then hopefully book for one night in October.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Re Four Seasons, I've got some decent pics of our room (plus strip view) and the pool area. If anyone wants to have a look, just PM your email address and I'll be happy to send them over.
Still my personal favourite hotel, probably because it was our very first hotel in Vegas when we got married there 2 years ago. It's just nice and classy, without being over the top or 'stuffy'. Didn't find the location a problem at all, the monorail to Excalibur soon gets you up the strip a bit. As mentioned by someone else, it's quite nice being able to use the 'special' door from the Mandalay Bay lobby - kept thinking I would see some celebs there but never did !0 -

October , NovemberI always make sure the maids get a tip. Of all the workers, they probably get paid the least and almost certainly get less tips as a rule.
Actually the housekeeping staff are on a much higher wage than the waitresses and servers because the servers etc are expected to get tips. The maids aren't. Cocktail waitresses work for very little basic salary.0 -

By the way, if anyone is thinking of booking via Expedia I have a 'refer-a-friend' email which gives you £20 off your booking. I also get £40 off my next booking with them, which probably won't be for a while to be fair.0 -

If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

October , NovemberThat's why I don't tip the maids. Last time I heard they get $13 an hour at MGM properties
Even still they have one of the worst jobs in the place - the cocktail waitresses can make a fortune in tips to supplement their wages....the maids get overlooked. I wouldn't want to do their job and I'm quite happy leaving $3-$5/day for them - especially given how much we spend gambling.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
