So, Expedia have Virgin flights at £601 but you can trim £100 off by going direct to Virgin/BA. With this in mind, i'll probably book separately at the IP.

Does anyone know the best place/time to book?

Book your hotel asap. If you book direct with the hotel it will be fully refundable should you later change your mind, so there is no advantage in waiting. It could go against you though if you don't, if a big event nearby is announced which pushes the rates up for your dates.

Don't forget to check out https://www.smartervegas.com and http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/travel-deals/704925/?start=2340 for hotel promo codes.

[*]Is Vegas in February any good?! I know the weather is going to be a bit cooler than it was in May so potentially swimming will be out but what else should I expect to be different?
[*]In terms of the cost of the holiday can I expect this to come down or should I be booking now? At the moment it’s going to cost us £200 more each than when I went over the first Bank Holiday in May, although we will be going on a Sunday and coming back Friday. On the flip side this holiday includes a direct flight with Virgin rather than having to change flights, it’s for a night longer and staying at the Bellagio rather than the Riviera where I stayed in May.
    [/LIST]
If anyone has any advice or suggestions regarding the above I would be grateful to hear from you.

    Thanks.

    Rob

Apart from the weather (and i don't think it will be pool weather at all) i can't think of much else that will be different, but maybe peeps who've been in those months will know better. Re. cost and whether it could be got cheaper, you'd need to let us know the price first:D Have you priced flights and hotel separately as well, may or may not work out cheaper depending on how good your expedia booking discount is. Have a look for Bellagio codes on the links i posted above.

Oh and how lovely of you to surprise your wife with something like this - when are you planning to tell her? I'm just back from spending my 30th in Vegas, so trust me when i say she'll love you forever for doing this:rotfl:

Just got a great deal from City and Show. Changed our booking for September from the Paris to the FOUR SEASONS!! £790 all in for 8 nights. Less than £100 a night to stay in the highest rated hotel in Vegas, had to be done. Even going through the four Seasons own special promo of getting 2 free nights and $50 credit this deal works out at almost £400 less. I have previously stated the Encore was my favorite hotel, I think that might change after September the 16th.

    Great find!

I have just booked a night at the Four Seasons for the night we are at the Killers concert. :j :T It's more expensive per night to just book one night rather 2 or more.

Decided it would be much more relaxing to just be able to upstairs in minutes after the concert rather than fighting with thousands for a taxi after the concert.

I read on one third party site (may have been Expedia) that there is free wifi in the lobby, but I just called the hotel and was told there isn't. Was also surprised to find that internet access is $14.99/24 hours as I thought a hotel of that calibre may have been free.

Oh, hope you enjoy it there too Luci:D For anyone thinking of staying there with a car remember they charge something like $17pn for overnight parking:eek: You can always park for free in MB of course, but thought it was worth pointing out.

Can you explain where check in is? We won't be driving there, we will arrive on foot.

I also understand that the Four Seasons is the top 5 floors of MB and not a separate building, but it does have it's own pool. Have I got this right?

    Any other tips?

I may go over to Krispy Kreme at the Excalibur to use their free wifi. Do you know if there's any closer?

Daughter has just arrived in Vegas . Booked her 9 nights at Treasure Island (hotel only) for £420 ( including tax ) . When she arrived there last night she tried the $20 Trick and got lucky !!

Ended up getting a Petite Suite , which would have been $50 a night more than the Deluxe she had booked

There is a little entrance drive before you get to MB on the left as you are going towards the strip. it is the top 4 or 5 floors. The pool is at the MB pool, it is separate though, but I think you get access to MB pool as well, but Claire will be along no doubt to give the difinative on every thing.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Crikey!!! That's a rip off, so no complimentary valet then. Sounds like penny pinching to me, bit shallow for a hotel of their standing. And I was even going to phone them to see if they had complimentary limo from the airport:eek:

    Thanks stoneman.

I got an email from them asking if I wanted them to arrange airport transfers, but they didn't say they were complimentary.

They do have a "house car" which will take you anywhere within a 3 miles radius, but reading some reviews there seemed to be problems actually booking or getting it.

Luci it has its own separate entrance at street level, located off Four Seasons Drive. From memory this was the turn off after the one for MB itself if you're heading down the strip. We had the car so we never accessed check-in on foot, sorry.

Yes its the top four floors of MB, 35-39, which you access via the elevators off the lobby. The spa is also located on the ground floor near check-in along with Verandah, Charlie Palmer and the entrance to the pool. You can take the elevator from here (or whatever floor you're on) directly down to the casino level of MB (well it takes you to a mini seating area, and you use your room card to gain access through the "secret" door out onto the casino floor and back again).

Yes it has its own pool tucked away in the grounds, which is beautiful but quite small and not a lot of shade so pick your spot wisely. You are escorted to your choice of loungers and brought and poured ice cold water, and while you're there they come around with fruit and cucumber slices and evian spray misters for your face:D Staff here are lovely, really friendly but not over the top like i was expecting and worried about to be honest. You can also access the pool at MB by following the signs, just remember to take your room card with you.

Re. wifi I noticed quite a few people on the sofas in the lobby had their laptops, so even though the hotel says there's no free wifi there could well be so its worth trying. Also don't be surprised if you spot a few dogs in the lobby, pets are allowed here and i saw at least 4 or 5 when we were there.

Ask for a view of the strip if possible, we booked the regular room and they upgraded us to the strip view room which had a great view up the strip. Its the same strip view obviously that you can get at MB but as we faced the mountains when we stayed there it was great to see the strip from this angle. Toiletries are L'occitane so request some extras if you're fan of them like me:D

I can really reccomend breakfast at Verandah, lovely food and a beautiful setting both inside and out. Oh and don't forget they have a fitness suite you can use for free, or even go down just to get the free water and juice :rotfl:This was one of the things i was looking forward to about staying here, until i ended up on crutches the week before going:mad:
