  • Hi all,
I am heading to Las Vegas for Christmas and want to see a Cirque du Soleil show (I think O sounds like the best, but I am a bit flexible and would probably settle for Mystere or Ka instead). I am only there for the nights of 24th, 25th and 26th. I know you can get half price tickets on the day but am concerned that because it is Christmas there might not be any (and also, don't want to spend hours queueing, but would be prepared to spend up to 45 mins or so).
Is is best to pay more and book online now or chance it? How long do you typically have to wait for in the half price tix places?
    Thanks

Tix queue - generally if youre there at about 9.15am, youre front of queue so ge served at 10am. If you arrive at 10am, youre back of queue and get served at about 11am, but the plum shows wil be gone i.e. enjoy Believe!!! Both lengths dependent on which location you choose eg I reckon the FSM one is the busiest.

There are tickets for a variety of shows on tix even over Xmas, even Xmas day, but its a lottery as to which show has space.

IMHO, go to the destinationcoupons site and book the $60 KA tickets now.....its such a huge set that the back seats are the best in the house!!! If youre only there for three nights, dont waste an hour queueing.

PS Last year we did tix 23/24/25 Dec, and saw Phantom, KA and Copperknob in that order.

Remember take the ticket stub from last night and get to the front of the VIP queue.

The "1/2 price ticket booths "do not always sell tickets for 1/2 price - for many of the Cirque shows the discount may only be 20% or 30%. O is probably the rarest Cirque show to turn up.

I'd agree with Froggitt - you're not there long enough to waste time queuing - and there are offers online for decent discounts for the shows you mentioned (if there's still availability - some of the offers are limited to a certain number of tickets per show).

Re a fridge, all hotels should provide you one for free if you need it for medication. I got one for free to keep mine in whist at MGM. It was a box sized one and more than adequate for not only my medication but sandwiches and beer.

BTW no-one asked to see proof of my medication, either prescription or actual medicine.;)

    I just asked at check-in.

The thing that bothers me about Changs is that you can see into the kitchen, and not one oriental is ever to be seen, they are all Mexican.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Over-ordering at PF Chang's is pretty much a law, I think...for us, it's not helped that we have different favorites and usually end up with the 'we're on holiday, screw it' mentality and each order what we want. :) But every single time we waddle out and swear that next time it will be different. Maybe one day it would be. As for the chefs, since it's a chain I'm not surprised that there aren't many Chinese chefs working there.

Yes, Can we have some snow up here.
Typical of cumbria, we have had our main street with 8 foot high floods running down it, we get no sun in summer, but when the snows come, the kind of bad weather the kids at least would like, we don't get any.
Still, I probably shouldn't wish for it, you can guarantee if it comes to Cockermouth it will cause more havock than anywhere else known our luck.
