last post from me... and slightly off-topic! (been reading but haven't had anything to post here for ages :( )

has anyone noticed this photo that's been added to the MSE Vegas Flickr Group:

I love the fact that whoever did it has also put it in the 'power line' group:

More fun in the power line group than you can shake a stick (or metal pole) at! :):D

Triker / Bebebelle- absolutely brilliant trip reports - thanks a lot :) really enjoyed reading them!

Just looking through your photos now Triker (assume all these are yours?: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cheleann/sets/72157622530682673/ )

edit: i'm guessing they aren't yours actually as they don't tie in with your trip report! :) - i was initially going to post and ask you what all the pictures of signs were about!?

    Airmiles / Tesco Clubcard
I'm getting really tempted to book for next September for my big "3-0" birthday now.... especially as it transpires we have enough points for 1 free flight using BA / Airmiles!

Just a heads up to everyone that if you use a Tesco clubcard, but never get around to redeeming points (so end up with approx. £167 worth of vouchers), then note that at the moment there is a special offer on on Tesco which means you can redeem them for 8000 airmiles which is enough for a direct BA economy flight to Vegas :):D

There doesn't seem to be many (if any?) date restrictions either! :)

Nope sorry, I pilfered them from google looking for a Pizza Place image to show the change. Haven't sorted the photos properly but when I remember I'll plonk some on the photo page.

I'm with you re the clubcard points flight thing too, just wondering what to do.....argh.:o

Any recommendations as what to do on Christmas Day would be gratefully received.
We have been twice on Christmas day. You WILL wait for at least 2 hours in a buffet queue.(unless you eat at 11am) We booked a meal at one of the restaurants in the Orleans, $25 each for 3 course Xmas dinner.Arrived at the appointed time and were seated straight away. All shows will be Dark (closed) All shops inside the casinos wil be open, nothing outside will be (maybe some restaurants
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

MGM Lions need a bigger enclosure ( like being in a goldfish bowl)

It could be bigger, though if you think about the various levels they have it's probably bigger than it initally seems...but the lions don't spend much time there at all - a lot of people think that they live in there or something (which would be terrible)...no lion is ever there for more than 6 hours at a time if memory serves...they spend most of their time on a big ranch not far from Vegas...I think there are 30something lions in total that make trips to the enclosure.

I've booked my first visit to Las Vegas and am staying seven nights starting 22nd Dec (my birthday) at Caesars Palace with my Good Lady Wife. We'll be there for Christmas. Yay!

I am so jealous...I would love to go for my birthday, and mine's the 23rd (are you used to kind of crappy pre-Christmas birthdays too? :) ) - so please say hi to Vegas from me. I'm sure you'll have a great trip and hope you'll write a trip report when you get back, even if it's a short one.

I've booked the new Viva Elvis cdsoleil at Caesars for 7pm Xmas Day night. So at least made sure we've got something to do that won't involve queuing.

you're right! I must have had a senior confused moment Its Bette Midler we're seeing at Caesars on 30th Dec. and Viva Elvis xmas day at Aria. Oh to be young and straight thinking again!!! Never mind I've got myself a wii fit to get into shape The only problem is it has told me my wii age is 75 and I'm a mere 63. I'm now working out like mad. Obviously not helping my brain though!!!
