Did you get any sort of a discount by booking after logging in at least? What sort of room did you book? only reason I ask is the lower end rooms don't get great reviews so may not be worth paying extra for...but hoping for a complimentary upgrade is option.

As for Cheesecake Factory being so close - I agree it could be dangerous...but at least it's a bit of a walk to get there - so it all evens out...sort of. :)

    It's a forum tower room we've booked...hope it's ok as am really excited :)

there were discounted rates when I logged in but when I checked flights with BA for the dates I want (24th-29th Jan from newcastle) they alone were coming up at just under £3800 for us both

I'm guessing it's cos it's Sunday-Friday. Managed to book the whole package thru Expedia for a LOT less than that with the same flights.

I'm already planning my daily cheesecake intake :D

You could book your hotel direct and cancel, no problem...as for flights, you could buy a fully flexible ticket which would be expensive...or if you opted not to go if the fight was cancelled you may be entitled to getting the tax back, but no, sorry...they will not accept 'the fight was cancelled' and give you a refund.

We booked this year for Easter and the day after we booked the event I wanted to go to was cancelled. We'd booked NW flights with ebookers and could have changed the dates for £100 pp. In the end we stuck to the original dates but it was possible. Sometimes it's no changes -sometimes it is possible you really just need to read the fare rules for each carrier on each site (ie on ours if we had booked with another company NW didn't have that change clause and we couldn't have changed)

Who is going to be fighting? I have been out for a few Hatton fights and tickets have been through Hattons own promotions company.

    Mayweather vs Pacquao hopefully.
Not announced yet, but might be in the coming weeks/months.
How much was the Hatton deal, what exactly was it?

Thanks for that, I'll have a look around and make some enquiries.

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help?
Where is the best place to find out which bands/singers/shows might be on when I am in Vegas next year?
If there are any big names on in June July 2010 then I fancy seeing them. I missed George Michael @ MGM by about a month (still gutted about that!). Is there anywhere that lists the singers playing in town on certain months etc? OR does anyone know of any big names appearing next year (specifically July?).
    Thanks in advance.
    Steff;)

Saw this at Open Vegas - if anyone's doing their post Thanksgiving shopping anyway, might be worth looking into.

Effectively spend $500 shopping at a particular mall (including the outlets, FSM, Forum Shops, Miracle Mile etc.) between 29th November and 13th December and get a voucher for 2 free show tickets to selected shows...downside is they can't be redeemed until 5pm the day of the show.

Not necessarily an offer many will take advantage of, but if anyone's doing a load of shopping anyway...or buying a nice handbag for Christmas. :)

You need to be a resident of the US to take up this offer

It's probably too early for June/July dates to be announced...but in general I like this one...

    http://www.lvol.com/events/vegas_concerts.html

Though they don't seem to have updated for Garth Brooks which makes me question how up to date it is.

    Another I use is

    http://www.vegas.com/shows/

Put in your dates, choose headliners and see what comes up...though it doesn't seem to list Garth either, hmmm. If you use the 2nd one, do not buy tickets through it unless they're sold out direct with the box office - normally vegas.com doesn't have great deals on show tickets.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Just a note on Garth tickets, I managed to get mine direct from Wynn the other week when they went on sale.

Since then, I have been contacted twice by Wynn to confirm my ticket and date, if you order more than one ticket, you have to supply all names of people attending, tickets are not given out prior to the show date, and you have to pick them up at will call from noon on the day of the show, with ID, your booking reference, and credit card that was used to book, and all on the booking have to enter together.

They will not be on sale through 3rd party websites...all to try and stop the touts selling for lots of money.
