You may have flown direct, but it wouldn't have been non-stop. Virgin don't do non-stop from Heathrow, it's Gatwick.
  • i honestly did fly direct with virgin!! ive got the ticket stubs!! lol

We did it in April 2008 & it cost us £298 all in for us both. That was using Papillon & think it was Grand Celebration Tour which included a landing & small picnic lunch - but remember the exchange rate then was $2 to £1.

It's really down to what you want to pay - you obviously don't seem keen on the prices you've found so you have nothing to lose by leaving it until you get there but the prices may not be any better.

Thanks for the advice. I have just seen another thread that gives a discount code to use with Papillon, using the code LPA-1, the price come out at £142 each, which sounds really good. The main difference between the Viator.com tour and the Papillon tour appears to be, the Papillon trip transports you to Boulder City by motor coach from where you pick up the helicopter. The Viator.com trip flys direct from Vegas. What was your opinion of Papillon?

    Thanks

I'd also be interested to know the flight number since they really don't fly direct from Heathrow...the upcoming direct BA flights from LHR were all over the travel news when announced because they were in direct competition with Virgin's direct flights from Gatwick. It wouldn't have been as big UK travel news had Virgin already been flying LHR to LAS direct I don't think.

In any event, they definately do not fly LHR to LAS direct now so I'd be interested in knowing where you're seeing a package with this routing.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
