Looking to go somewhere in March, reasonably warm, more than just a fly and flop, so thinking Vegas. Have found 7 nights at The Wynn with direct flights with Virgin for £684. Seems quite a good deal. Any advice for a first time Vegas traveller? Grateful for views on the Wynn and also whether 7 nights would be too much? Thanks

I would say that's quite a good price seeing as you will be there for 2 weekend nights.

Best advice I can give you is to read Page 1 of this topic which has a wealth of information. If you have any questions after reading that come back and post.

I would say thats a mega deal!! where did you find it?

Virgin flights alone are around £400-450 at there cheapest, means you got 7 nights at the Wynn for £234 odd, impressive!!:eek:

Expedia has 7 nights at the Wynn in March inc Virgin flights for around £670 each at the moment (based on 2 people travelling)

plus use Quidco, and get cashback, and 3000 nectar points

That'll be £234 times two people for the Wynn = £468, about $700 which is still OK.

I don't know of any indoor pools...none that I can think of anyway...maybe off strip or downtown but all the pools I can think of are outdoor. Some will be open in November.

Virgin doesn't fly direct from Heathrow to Vegas...but the best thing to do is to check prices of the flights direct, then have a look at hotel deals somewhere like smartervegas.com. Looking at it quickly it doesn't seem like it would be a lot different than booking direct but I haven't looked at your dates specifically.

Got home this afternoon and already can't wait to go back again!

The Mirage was a great hotel. The rooms have all been renovated and I really like the casino. Perfect location for doing loads of shopping as well.

Holidayqueen , the Ugg prices are the same in all the shops I saw. I got mine in The Walking Store in the Forum Shops at Caesers Palace $179.99 for the Tall ones and $139.99 for the short + tax.

I've only had 10 hours sleep since we arrived there on Saturday so I'll do a trip report tomorrow when I can think straight!

I flew from Heathrow to Las Vegas with Virgin DIRECT in December 2008!!!!!!!! They do fly direct... no stops.. no probs! :T
