I don't know anything about this guy, what he does or anything like that. Has anyone seen his show? Can you guys enlighten me? Sorry for my ignorance!!
Thanks for that. Great saving there, and ONLY $10:rolleyes: in charges to be added to 2 tickets. all booked.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    - accommodation at grand canyon booked (though i keep looking for cancellations as we will be staying at Yavapai lodge and i would love something with some sort of rim view... but still glad to have managed to get hold of a room!!)

Have you tried calling? Sure I have read here or somewhere else (possibly Open Vegas) that a lot of the time cancellations are snapped up by phone before they reach the website. We stayed at Thunderbird Lodge and had a partial rim view - it was only $20 more a night I think and a lot of the reviews complained that the rooms are on the 1st floor and the roof of the floor below blocks part of your view, but really for $20 just being able to look out the window and see the Grand Canyon at all was cool to us. And being able to walk out the door and down the stairs and be right there was awesome. I still think the night sky was my favorite part...even more than the Canyon itself. :)

Argh! I posted a link a few pages back which had 30% off. That one only had 25%.

I've been stalking Terry Fator deals for our trip...the only ones out there end on 30th September and would really prefer to go a few days later...fingers crossed they'll release an extension shortly.

All this talk of Terry Fator is making me think about seeing him again, but that would be daft as I already have a long list of shows we haven't seen before.

2 weeks today for me too!!!!! Wonder if it'll be an MSE flight? lol!

I know this Q has been asked but we are also interested in helicopter trip of GC although I have seen a walking one that i'm V interested in. Is it better to book now or wait till we get there?

Only have Killers tickets booked. Decided we would book tickets if we wanna go to anything else while we are there.

    v v v v v v v excited now!

I would see Terry Fator again like a shot, that guy has some talent. How he can do ventriloquism, impersonations and singing all at the same time I don't know.

I would reccomend his show every time.

We'll need to make it a joint MSE / Killers flights as a few of us are heading over from the UK - the more the merrier!!

    hi all,

love this thread, have found myself reading it every day religiously now to make sure i pick up all the tips!!

my boyfriend and i are going to las vegas in 3 weeks or so and i would be very grateful if someone in the know would have a look at the list of things we've organised and let me know if i've missed anything important:

    - flights booked (obviously :)
    - have chosen seats on the flights
    - ESTA forms done
    - accommodation in Vegas booked
    - accommodation at grand canyon booked (though i keep looking for cancellations as we will be staying at Yavapai lodge and i would love something with some sort of rim view... but still glad to have managed to get hold of a room!!)
    - concert tickets booked
    - vouchers on restaurant.com booked

    still to do:
    - car hire to book - hopefully do that tonight!
    - helicopter ride over GC to book (looking for something which flies from within the GC rather than from LV - could this be left til we get to LV?)

    anything important missing??
also, would anyone recommend a helicopter ride over the strip? since we will be doing a helicopter trip over the GC it has less appeal... but maybe we should do both!

    thanks!
    xx

GC can wait till arrival . other than that i think your about set . one piece of advice :pack your most comfy shoes , you will be be doing a fair amount of walking even if you take the car everywhere . Or you could do a early shopping trip and get something good . Mrs Trets ( and others on here ) swear by Fly Flots .

i assume this is your first trip , so i will let you ( and everyone else ) in on a little thing me and my wife like to do when we go somewhere new .

At the Airport on the way out , get your OH , Husband ect to buy you a new bottle of perfume . it must be something you have never had before , and something with a distinct smell (loads of fun , and waiting time to kill trying the duty free stuff out @ the Airport ) . then wear it everyday of the Holiday .

Smell is the biggest trigger for memory and recollection ( google it ) . i cannot smell my wifes Gucci Rush perfume without thinking about the great Holiday we had in New England a few years ago , and i love it when she wears it . . and the same applies to Diesel fuel for life and my wife regarding the Rocky mountains .

have a great holiday , and then have great fun remembering it afterwards
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

    Hi guys,
I am going to Vegas in a couple of days for my 4th time and I cannot wait - even though I have been before I have picked up so many new hints and tips on this thread so thank you all soo much!

I am now wondering if I imagined something though...I thought a few months ago someone said there was a free shuttle from maybe Ceasars Palace to Walmart? I have searched the forum but can't find any mention of it and now think I might be going mad!! We usually go by taxi to the newer Walmart by the airport but then we always seem to have a nightmare getting a taxi back no matter how many we ring or try and book, so we thought a free shuttle would be a perfect solution! Can anyone remember anything about it at all, or have I dreamt it up!! :o

    Thanks all!
