Restaurant.com have a new offer - 50% off with discount code MENU (so 25$ vouchers now cost 5$). Not as good as the previous 70 - 80% sale but still worth it. And the vouchers are supposed to last for a year. Can anyone recommend any of the restaurants on their list?

    Really ?
Didn't hear anything about that whilst we were there this week. Where did you hear that Luci ?

Arrived back this morning-got upgraded from JFK to Heathrow but they faffed around so long serving dinner I only slept about 2 hours which kind of defeats the object of business class to me

Read it on Las Vegas Advisor.

There are far too many listed to recommend any. If you can list the ones you're interested in then we can advise.

There are a number in the Mandalay Bay I was interested in:
    Aureole
    Fleur de Lys
    Mix
    Rick Mooen
    Shanghai Lilly
    Strip Steak
Also thinking of Cafe BaBa Reeba and Envy The Steakhouse at Renaissance.
If anybody has eaten at any of these, I'd really love to know what you thought.
I think I would only buy a couple though as would want some flexibility to choose places we think look nice once we are there.

  • Cade,

We also going Sunday, there are 6 of us going including 3 newbies for us to show around so should be fun! 2 or 3 of them might see Jersey Boys, but will probably just book when they're there.

Luci, I also didn't know about the shuttles, that's really silly of them doing that, I probably wouldn't stay there without the shuttle. Thankfully we move to Platinum on the 11th! :j

Well it won't be long......2 more sleeps!

Before you book any of the restaurants at MB, check the menus and prices. I found them very expensive which also increased the size of the tip. They were more than I was willing to pay.

I've read good things about Cafe Ba Ba Reeba although I haven't tried it yet.

I think ferf has eaten at Envy.

Did you say that you liked Origin of India? There is a $50 certificate here for $19.95 along with some others for Vegas.

We love the place but already have a restaurant.com voucher to use, but looks like a good deal. Still looking forward to trying Mon Ami Gabi for breakfast with the one you pointed out before.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

We loved Envy. There were 4 of us so we bought the $75 off $150 total order one. Food and service were great - my MIL said it was the best steak she ever had. My only mistake was ordering my steak medium-well. They did tell us it would be an extra 20 minutes and we were OK with that, but in the end my husband's medium steak was soooo much nicer than my medium-well - which was really closer to well than medium.

It's right across the street from the Convention Centre monorail stop - so easy enough to access though if you're starting at Mandalay Bay a taxi may be a better option.

    FERF / LUCI,

Can you tell me where Origin of India is again?

Also, I'm new to the restaurant vouchers in general - this 1 says 2 x $25 for $19.95 - but you can only use 1 per visit + they expire at the end of November.

Give me a slap if I'm missing something but why buy the 2 vouchers?

    Ta much
