The free shuttle between Bill's and the Gold Coast/Orleans will be stopping on 14 September.
    .

We were surprised it was still running after Harrah's bought Bill's - must have been some part of the deal that they would still let the shuttle pick up from there that's now come to an end.

    FERF / LUCI,

Can you tell me where Origin of India is again?

Also, I'm new to the restaurant vouchers in general - this 1 says 2 x $25 for $19.95 - but you can only use 1 per visit + they expire at the end of November.

Give me a slap if I'm missing something but why buy the 2 vouchers?

    Ta much

It's across the street from Hard Rock.

The link Luci posted isn't restaurant.com but a different place that can be a good deal. At restaurant.com you can get one $25 voucher (I think off a $50 purchase, but they do add a 20% tip before the discount) for $10 less any discounts that are about.

Thanks for that -just about to go out for a nice Indian Meal just now - what about Strip Steak in Mandalay Bay - has anyone tried this one?

Unfortunately Strip Burger has sold out but I think I will get 1 or 2 for Tacone - ok for a snack.

    Thanks

Remember that you can only use 1 voucher for any given restaurant a month - so unless you'll be going again within the year (or staying longer than a month) no point in getting 2 Tacone vouchers.

Update on the Orleans/Gold Coast shuttle. It will now be going to the Tropicana instead of Bill's and will runs every 25-35 mins.
  • Need some opinions please.

Just booked to see KA at MGM for a 9:30pm showing and now looking for somewhere nice to eat for me and the wife before the show.

She really wants a good steak so that type of food is what we are looking for.

Can people please recommend somwhere that is very close to the MGM to eat please.

Many more questions to come as only 6 weeks until we fly.

    Thanks

    Hi Wagster,

Couple of personal reccomendations in that area, inside the MGM is a restaurant called Craftsteak, it is pretty expensive but the steak and service is fantastic. (My mouth is drooling with the memory!!). Alternatively you could go accross the road to New York, New York and eat at a place called Gallaghers, I ate there earlier this year and had a great piece of steak.

There is also a place just outside the MGM called Smith & Wollensky, I haven't tried it myself yet but it does look quite nice.

    Hope that helps,

    Stew

Ah that makes more sense as the South Coast already uses the Trop stop-not nearly as handy though. Still surprised there's no mention of it at the Orleans though.

I was going to mention S&W, we had a nice meal there last year. Trouble with all of the eateries in the MGM is that they are way over priced
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

It's not close to MGM as such, but very easy by monorail - Envy mentioned earlier in this thread...right by the convention centre monorail stop - so monorail from Envy to MGM would be very easy. Great steaks and with a restaurant.com voucher good value too...not cheap, but not break the bank.
