I'm exhausted just reading all that! Sounds like you have a lot planned.

I know, we never seem to have enough time on holiday. We've tried to pick the stuff we want to do the most but just wish I booked another week but couldn't as don't have enough time off work to use.

You'll have a great time anyway. Your next trip will be longer, I'm certain.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, BTW.

Day 5 Tuesday - Early starting doing the Bootleg Canyon Flightlines at 8am. Afterwards need to go back to the chapel to check out the wedding pictures. In the afternoon off to Red Rock Canyon for horse riding and evening meal.

Would love to hear your report on the flightlines when you get back, it looks a lot of fun. Would like to try it at some point in the future.

Just back, suffring hellish jet lag as usual.
Stayed at the South Point, not too bad, big clean rooms, eateries nothing special.
Got to say I think the Casinos have tightened up their slots a lot, could get a real good game for a few $'s but they all seem tight even the Orleans which is noted for loose slots. If you have a bit of patience and join the casinos loyalty card schemes you can make some free $'s. The South Coast was the best they give $25 free slot play when you sign up and have a coupon book, I made about $30 from that. $10 free at Bellagio made $14 it mounts up. Just about all the casinos give this free play on the card, its not like Casino Royales scheme where they give you $50 and it is impossible to win, if you play 1c games you'll end up winning something.
Had a Hire car for the first time, fairly easy driving in Vegas, worst problem was turning onto the strip at MGM to go to Downtown, it took over an hour to get to Bills due to roadworks narrowing the strip to one lane, worst jam ever. Got a free upgrade on the car from a Dodge Charger to a SUV not bad. The car parks at the casinos are generally free and the Fashion show c/park is quite central, if you go downtown I would recommend using the Plaza car park, you pay $5 but take the ticket in the casino and get the $5 refunded. The freemont street thing is good at the moment, celebrating Woodstock. We saw a group called the Wholigans perform, they were fantastic.
India palace on 505 Twain is not a bad indian it is very pricey though and if you want chicken breast in your curry ask for it otherwise it will be leg and thigh.
Driving to the Grand Canyon South rim is a trek and a half, would only do it again if I was touring never there and back on the same day. Hoover dam is a good attraction, the new motorway bridge being built there is quite spectacular as well. Flew US airways via Philly from Birmingham, used APH car park at Hams Hall great service, and Birmingham is a great little airport, no problems all round.
Shopping in Vegas is not as good as it used to be, the prices have shot up and with the poor exchange rate it is hardly worth it anymore. Drove to Primm to the outlet there I shouldn't have bothered, the place was dead and the prices were sky high. All the other stuff about Vegas is on here. Cheers for now.

With now 67 days (and counting) to go until we go to Las Vegas its time to get booking things! Before I start booking lots of things, I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the proposed itinerary in case I've missed something big or screwed up somewhere.

It does sounds like a lot - but sounds like a great trip.

Do you have the voucher for the IP Auto Collection?

And Popovich is usually available at Tix4Tonight for 1/2 price - I've seen it online at 50% off before but at the moment can only see it here (a site I don't remember seeing before - others may have)...though only good 10 days or less before the date of the show.

It sounds like you have a lot planned. You are doing the things you want to do which is the most important thing, never mind what other people would do.

Congratulations on the wedding and hope it's a fab day!

Funny what you say about the shopping being expensive. We actually found more bargains last time at $1.42/£1 than we did when it was $2.11/£1.

At DKNY for example, in addition to the outlet prices, everything has an additional 35-70% off and we also had a coupon to get more discount.

That's the thing about outlets - two people can go on the same day and one can think it's a brilliant place and come back with loads of bargains and another can think it's rubbish and come back with nothing...just depends on what people want and what stock is there.

It's also the reason that I generally avoid outlets - since I have minimal shopping tolerance I need to go somewhere I'm pretty sure will have stuff in stock that I like and in my size with minimal effort required...I don't have the patience necessary to successfully shop at outlets. :)

I too have a very low tolerance to shopping, but I can put up with it for a couple of hours when I'm on holiday. However once I'm shopped out that's it, it for home regardless of whether I have seen all the shops I wanted to or not.
