    Hi all,
Has anyone flown from Manchester to Vegas direct with Thomas cook? For the dates we want they're coming out at 400-440 each, and the times of the flights are attractive. Can anyone tell me if they're awful since their charter flights? Or are they ok?
    Cheers
I've not done it myself (gone London every time), but they seem to take the mick with their add-ons.
    Seats together?... that's £20 please!
Oh, you want to take some clothes with you? That's just £30 to stick a bag in the hold!
And it's just £17 to eat on the plane!

Thinking of going with my two teenagers (17,15) from November 28th onwards for 5 nights, till 3rd december. Is £1400 the best I will get quoted for 5 nights at the Mirage inclusive of flights from Heathrow (1 stop, US airways?)

Cheers, also is the weather decent enough at this time?

Davey I got the Stratosphere from the 30th to the 6th for £234 on hotels.com.

It's currently £255 for the days you wanted which is a bit more but there is a 10% off code you can get easily enough for hotels.com or go through Quidco (or both but it says you don't get the cashback if you use a voucher)

See you there if you take the plunge!

Personally I would stay at Excalibur for £300 over the Strat for £255 - you'll likely spend the extra in transport being so far north...not to mention the immediate area around Excalibur is a bit nicer than around the Strat.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Have you checked prices of the flights and hotel separate to compare to the package? It doesn't seem like a bad price for 3 people and 5 nights...but that's pretty low season, so...

If you and your teenagers know what restrictions they will be under and are happy with them I'm sure it could be a fun trip...I think at that age I would have been quite happy wandering around and doing what I could as an under-21...but obviously kids are different.

Temps are likely to be in the mid-teens during the day and single digits at night.

After some dscussion with the missus we reckon they would have to pay us $50 each for us to go and see Peepshow, and for other shows the missus would go and see Donny&Marie if it was free (I'd need to be paid) and the most we would pay to be tempted to a cirque show would be about $20.
See now that is where we differ. you would have to pay ME $20 to see a cirque show, and then make Jessica Simpson sit on my lap thoughout to take my mine off of it:rotfl:
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Looks like good decision on our part to get Crown currency to give us $1.67 for delivery on the 15th. of Sept. But it could of course all change by then.

the feeling by HM Governments finest is that this will improve exports and stimulate the economy...

    Hey,
Looking to take the plunge and book Las Vegas for early Feb 2010 4th to 12th with 4night stays in 2 hotels. As part of the expedia package I'm getting the Signature for equiv of $150 a night. Considering it's Superbowl weekend should I jump at it?
I'm leaving the 2nd 4 nights until much closer the time as I expect to get a great deal on midweek thanks to this superb thread

depends on if your prepared to wait and see what comes along if you book seperate . or if your happy with Expedia price . $150 for the Signature is okay .

Price up the flight with the airline , then work out how much you will have left to spend on hotels .

When the flight is booked ,your going .:beer::beer::beer: it's just a case of which great hotel you will be staying at then . you might not get the Signature for $150 again , but you might get something else you like at a good price . key word though is might
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

I've been to Las vegas twice in the past 18 months and spent ages looking for the best deals. On each occasion Expedia was the best by far...you may want to try comparing the prices on Expedia.com & .co uk..see which is the best.
    A few tips:
The price can vary depending on the days you are leaving and returning, midweek flights will be a lot cheaper.....experiment with the dates!
Its a long way to go and the cost of staying an extra night or two can often be negligable...it may even be cheaper to go for 7 or 8 nights rather than 5 ensuring departure and return dates are midweek.
The last time I went, I stayed in the Imperial Palace...hardly a palace, but adequate and nicely located on the strip.
Just checked now (2nd Dec - 10th Dec.)...1 adult plus the 15 & 17yr olds for 8 nights in the Imperial Palace £1400....go through Quidco 3.5% cashback and its down to £1350!
Love is GRAND..........Divorce is 100 GRAND!
