Its really hard to explain what it is lol, its a waterfall on the lake of dreams that has computer generated imagery and cool lighting set to music. Its very quirky, and not to everyones taste. I loved it:D

I know you can see it from Parasol Down, and the patio at Daniel Boulud. We had a room which overlooked it, thats how i first knew it existed, when i looked out the window and saw a massive frog head :rotfl:

I thought that was a good price, but I misread it and thought it was in dollars. It's actually $287 and I think I have seen Papillion do a similar trip for less, but it's a while since I checked.

Could seem to find Papillion doing one so if you could point in the right direction that would be great cheers

Also - has anyone stayed at the Tudor Rose? The location looks good and I like the idea of having a balcony or patio and breakfast included, I've only been once before and stayed at the Sahara 7 years ago, which was fine, but it'd be nice to be at the top of the strip. Looking for a weeks stay for around $500-600 - any recomendations?

depends when you are going as they start around dusk, when I was there in July, they were starting at 8.30pm and every half hour till 1am...the show lasts about 5 minutes

Well, I've never heard of the Tudor Rose, not sure if that's a good or a bad thing ! Depending on when you are going, you should be able to get something reasonable enough for $600, even if you factor in $25 for breakfast each morning.

One thing I'm not sure of, is how many properties within that price range will have a balcony (I'm thinking strip properties). Maybe that's something you may have to sacrifice. Perhaps someone else can help out a bit more than me. Is there any particular reason you want to be at the 'top of the strip' ? I presume you mean Fremont St / Downtown, maybe I've misunderstood.

I drove from Vegas to the Grand Canyon last month. The route takes you over the Hoover dam, before heading south through the desert to the Interstate from Kingman towards Williams, where you head north to the GC.
On our way towards the interstate we noticed a sign to the Grand canyon Sky Walk http://www.grandcanyonskywalk.com/.
We didn't follow the signs as we were headed for Sedona, but for anyone taking a drive from Vegas this would seem to be the place to go.

We went on the GC Skywalk 2 years ago, just after it opened. Glad we went but certainly not in a hurry to go back. Not sure if it's still the same, but out of the last 21 miles, 14 is unpaved road and it really is awful. That bad, I felt guilty taking the rental car on it (which I don't think you are supposed to anyway).

Do you mean the Desert Rose?

Have a look at promo codes on https://www.smartervegas.com to get an idea of what hotels you can get for your budget.
