SeptemberJust checked the news about the baggage handlers strikes and appears they are working to rule over the bank holiday weekend but striking Wednesday 27th August and also Tuesday 1st September. There appears to be some other strikes threatened at Gatwick and Stansted too.0

AugustOdyssey did you get a heli tour sorted? I'm keen to do this what is the best way to book - before I get there or when I'm there for the best price?
And what tour is recommended to make the most of it with out breaking the bank.
No I haven't booked one yet. Going to see what we can get when we get out there. Will let you know when we get back which one we went for.
Pricewise it looked as though Papillon were best but no actual knowledge of them. Someone I work with recommended Sundance but they cost almost double!:eek:0 -
SeptemberWe have decided to hire a car and drive to The grand Canyon, I know it will be a long day but at least we can suit ourselves time wise etc.0

Less hotels have this rule in the current climate. It's not certain hotels that have this rule, they can all apply it to specific weekends depending how busy they are.
I tried to book Bally's for one weekend in September back in June and they were closed to reservations for that Saturday. When I checked, they only had 2 Saturdays where they were closed to reservations, the rest were OK.
All you can do is check online as it should tell you there or call them up.0 -
