SeptemberHi all,
I don't think the half price tickets booth sells tickets for those shows or at least it's not on their site and I don't want to miss out as it's a once in a lifetime chance for some of them for me
You just answered your own question. Why risk missing out on a once in a lifetime show for the sake of a few quid? Book it and enjoy it. Life's short.0 -

AprilThis is a brilliant thread. I've been lurking for a while and have picked up loads of really useful info. OH and I are going to Las Vegas for 8 days next April. We are having a week in San Francisco first and then have 4 days to drive down to LV. We plan to drive down the coast as far as, say, San Luis Obispo and then head inland. Has anybody out there done this? As the crow flies, it doesn't look too far. But if there are mountains and stuff it could be a long drive! I'm wondering how long we need to allow from the coast to LV, maybe via Bakersfield. I'd rather spend more time on the coast than on that bit of the journey. Any advice much appreciated.0

SeptemberIt sounds great, but in general gets poor reviews.

It is great and would be superb if you could just drive up to it and come and go as you please.
Unfortunately that doers not happen, the only way to get on the sky walk is through an organised 'tour' which will cost you about £50 each. You can't even take your camera on there with you.0 -

I am touring the west coast next month
There are loads of routes you can take. One would be to go from San Fran to Yosemite, through Death Valley and then to Vegas.
Another would be San Fran down the coast (route 1) to San Luis and then through Sequoia National Park, Death Valley and then Vegas.
The choice is endless and it will be hard trying not to cram to much in.0 -

SeptemberHi all,
More questions! Flying out on Sunday and we'd like to catch some shows while over there. Want to do Jersey Boys, Terry Fator and the Beatles Love show. Also trying to persuade my better half to go see Barry Manilow but I think she is worried that her image will be tarninshed forever if her friends fine out
I've seen Jersey Boys is 99$ for ochestra seats on a recent offer which seems good as these are the best seats (apparently)
In other peoples' experiences is it best to pre book any of the shows I've mentioned or just try to get a bargain when I get there. I don't think the half price tickets booth sells tickets for those shows or at least it's not on their site and I don't want to miss out as it's a once in a lifetime chance for some of them for me
Thanks again for all the advice so far everyone!
I would book ahead of time as the discounts at T4T aren't half price for those shows if they have them. I have seen Terry Fator listed.
Here's a link for TF at 30% off. Is that better than the rate you've found?

You've made a good choice there for shows. I've seen all 3 and enjoyed every one of them.0 -

As stoneman says it was originally posted at OV - I did post it over here as well because I'm a) gullible and b) love seeing the lions and was so upset that I might miss them by a day. It didn't close when it was rumoured to (we were there the following week) but the hours were reduced while we were there. I can't remember exactly but there was a paper sign taped over the normal sign showing the hours - not sure if it was a temporary thing or not.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
