From central strip. Take the 202 East along Flamingo to Swenson. Cross the street and take the 108 North to the LV Premium outlets. The 108 is pretty frequent, so your longest wait will be around 10 minutes for a connection.

Sorry, just read the EI bit. Same instructions. There is a bus stop beside the gas station on the corner of Koval/Flamingo

Thanks pebbles. I'm just a bit nervous about finding the right bus stops, that's why we usually take the Deuce.

I thought it would be easier to walk to Koval and get the bus from there. IF we go from EI would it still be the 202 first to Swenson and then the 108 or do we get the 108 from near EI?

Yes, it would still be 202 then 108. You can get the 202 from the stop just by Bally's though, it would save you a walk. I'll look at the bus timetable and get back to you if I find another route that would be easier for you.

Thanks. I've had another look at the timetable and it looks like the 108 goes along both Paradise and Swenson, just to confuse me.

I refuse to take a bus on holiday so I've never tried the Deuce, but have read too many stories about how it takes ages to get anywhere to even consider it.

OH PLEASE! Are you on holiday or is there some appointment you have to make ON HOLIDAY? Ok the deuce can take 45-60 minutes to get from the Sahara to Village Square/Excalibur but you are on holiday! Chill out!!!

Be entertained by some of the drivers "move to the back, yes I mean you in the yellow shirt" " On your right you can see the new $5Billion casino, but I call it the most expensive hole in ground" and so on.. Also you meet lots of different people :)

If you do want to drive then yes the parallel roads from the strip are far faster to use but parking may be a nightmare.

Yes, the 108 loop is slightly complicated. From Desert Inn it is South on Paradise and North on Swenson. It's a good bus to take from the airport if you are stopping downtown. Way cheaper than a taxi or shuttle, and probably not as slow as the shuttle either,

I've had a look at the timetables as we are looking to go around 9.30/10.00. It seems to be 20-25 mins between busses so I hope hubby's happy with that as he doesn't have much patience to wait. However you can wait forever for a Deuce to turn up on the strip.

I think it's worth a try so will probably attempt it.

In general I don't have any appointment I have to make - but I prefer not to waste time unecessarily. I am chilled out...as I am not waiting for/on a bus. I take buses at least 5 days a week when I'm not on holiday...I don't want to set foot on them when I am...we have a rental car, so we drive most places and get there far quicker than if we took a bus...if we don't want to drive we walk, take a taxi or the monorail. I appreciate that those who do not have a car may opt to take a bus and I get that, but I have no reason to, nor do I have any inclination to do so myself.

As for parking being a nightmare - valet is everyone's friend...and so far we've had no issue using any self-park garage in town.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Everyone has a different way of enjoying Vegas. We don't mind the wait, but we usually have at least a month in Vegas each time. We also have got very familiar with the off-strip bus routes and prefer to walk a short distance to catch a bus that travels at more than walking pace.

I'm looking forward to the new addition next year that will replace the old 302 express. It will make strip bus travel viable again.

Now there's some words I have never heard before when talking about Vegas :rotfl:
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
