Natwest PPI offer- Help required please!!

Hi All,
I have recieved an offer from Crapwest of just under £4k as a 'gesture of goodwill'.
They have advised the payment would need to be made into the account that is closed, meaning I will not see a penny of this, has anyone else been in the same situation and is there a way I can get this money paid to me, I have followed all the suggestions given to me and looked at the other threads on here to get ideas, but I really need to get this paid to me, I have got bills spiralling out of control and it end up affecting my already existing commitments. I've recieved a summons for council tax to the tune of just under £2k for this year, I am literally left with nothing once my bills are paid, could really do with this money to clear this build up. Really could do with some friendly advic
Thanks in advance

It sounds like you still owe money on the closed account, you may have to go to the ombudsman if you want the money directly to you.

    Thanks for this info Di....
Can you tell me is there a template acceptance form?
Just wondering if this may be another option (doctoring their acceptance letter), I will call the ombudsman tomorrow,
but I just want to find out if this is worth trying also?

    Hi Chicqa

    With pleasure.

Sorry to hear with what your going through as well.
Hope things sort out for you.

Despite trying to get the money paid directly to you, give it a go, tell the FOS the situation you in at the moment, and there is a great thread above if you've not get checked on it, called the debtwannabe thread, with counsellor advisers as well, you will receive the best advice on your budgets with help with sending letters to any debtors etc, a plan could be made, let me know if you need more info, or if you miss this on the site.;)

I would definatey try, give the FOS a ring tomorrow and see what they thing is your best option and take it from there.
    Fingers crossed for you. X

    Hi All,
Just received another letter from Natwest today... This is laughable this whole thing...
They have now magically found 'A True copy of the Credit Agreement'.. Well, let me take you through the problems I now find with this document:-
Although this is a crisp, brand-spanking new copy of my (alleged) agreement- there is:-
    a)No signature
    b)No dates
    c)No Credit agreement reference no.
d)My name is displayed differently on this 'copy'- now including my middle name.
e)Just completely different to what I had been given- different layout to customer copy.
what I need to know now, as they have still not supplied a copy with my signature on this- Can this still be accepted as kosher?
It is amazing the levels Ratsnest will stoop to?!?!?!?

    Need some advice please.

    Thanks in advance

I would write to them pointing this all out as it is easier to settle this at branch level. It is quicker. If it is as you say then if they have given their FINAL RESPONSE then you can take it to the FOS. Let us know a bit more

Thanks for the response.. My only worry with going back to them is this may prompt them to forge my paperwork?... They have stated it is a true copy, but it clearly is not.
What is likely to happen at Branch level?
Personally, I don't trust my old branch at all... they are full of crap... i will go in if you think this will help. Just need to ensure this is paid to me so I can take of all creditors I need to be paying.
.. also Just read on the bottom of the letter they actually want me to go into the branch as they allege they don't have a copy of my signature!!... Yeah, like I'm gonna give them identification with my signature for them to transpose onto another 'true copy of my credit agreement' .

    Hi Chicqa
    Sorry for my late posting.

I agree with Maxdp as well.

If they do not resolve in your favour as well I would be inclined to contact the data dept at the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) to find our more on this, in regards of your agreement.;)
    Good luck.
