I have just bought some sandals which were 61 euros down from 80. I bought them because all my sandals are flat and I just wanted a pair of elegant sandals for my days and evenings when I feel a bit dumpy. They are silver, ultra comfy with a padded sole and a comfy wedge of about 2inches which does make all the difference, I feel a bit frivolous though so please ladies tell me I did the right thing;) as I usually spen about 30, maximum 40 on sandals and shoes.

My LV Speedy is by far the most expensive item that I own.

You did the right thing..... they are shoes, how can that be wrong:D:D

Of course you did and convert the price into £sterling and they'll be much more of a bargain than they would've been a couple of months ago now exchange rates have improved!!!

Fortunately I earn in euros so that isn't so much of an issue although I have to say shopping in the UK is much cheaper for me these days compared to a couple of years ago so looking forward to my trip next month;)

The most expensive items in my wardrobe (other than my wedding dress) are these two dresses......

I paid £59 for the black one and £53 for the yellow one but they are amazing dresses which make my figure look amazing. They are based on original 1950's designs which make them classical shapes which will never look out of date. I love them :)

I don't tend to pay a lot for my clothes but I will make an exception for the designer that makes those dresses!

A pair of Irregular Choice shoes which I haven't worn yet because they're too beautiful and I don't want to wreck them :o I think they were about £60/70. Other than that I don't think I own much that cost more than about £30 - maybe a winter coat and a pair of boots.

FairyShazza those two dresses are just gorgeous! Amazing how the same style can look so different in the two different fabrics and what a truly flattering style. I can't think of single shape that wouldn't suit it. What a find!

My own most expensive purchase was a winter coat in wool/alpaca which I bought for nearly £300 half-price in Selfridges sale. I'd spotted it months before, tried it on and coveted it but really couldn't justify the expense to myself so I waited and waited with fingers crossed that it would actually not sell out before the January sale. That was ten years go and I still love it, it's a truly beautifully made garment and hasn't really dated at all. I've never regretted spending a single penny of that 300 quid

I have a tailored suit that cost me 2.5K, it fits beautifully, and always gives me a huge boost of confidence when I wear it.
I feel it was worth the investment. Would love some handmade shoes, but will stick with Jeffrey West shoes for now.

£2500!! I have a tailored suit: charcoal pinstripe cashmere lined in fuschia silk, 4 pieces + a shirt for £100! I know how it makes you feel but I did have to read your post twice!

    Mine are:
    • black leather coat [STRIKE]£400[/STRIKE] £300 (first pay cheque.)
    • Winter coat - wool, long, high collar, double breasted, [STRIKE]£250[/STRIKE] £150
    • New Rock boots, £140. (also first pay cheque)
    • Irregular choice shoes - 4*£60 ish (all presents)
    • Monsoon dress - £150 (present from Dad because it made me look like a girl! He's done that once ever and only to save face at a formal event)
    • Diamond rings *3 (all presents)
My favourite items ever are a pair of jeans from primark for £6 which I wore every day for about five years, a vest from primark that cost 50p which is always the first thing in my laundry basket, and a pair of 50p flip flops! I also prefer a tatty old bent silver ring that cost £3 to all but one of the "proper" ones!

I wonder if my family, friends and (ex)boyfriends are trying to tell me something with their choice of presents - like to stop being such a tramp!? :o
Do you need it? Yep. Really? Yes! How have you managed for the last 28 years without it? Erm....

Would just like to add that the presents were for actual events (birthdays and Christmases) and that (other than in the case of the dress) I am not a brat-type. :)
