Did you get lost in there, Floss?

My Vivienne Westwood handbag is the most expensive thing I have at nearly £800. However, I use it loads so on a cost per use basis, it's working out at good value. My Gucci flip-flops are probably the second most expensive (£220) but they are timeless, go with everything and should last years.
Like a few others, my biggest mistakes have generally been cheaper items...thank goodness for ebay!0 -

Yup!!
I got sidetracked into cutting back the tree in the front garden......well, I could see the branches from the bedroom window when I was ferreting around & it was annoying me.....ergo, one chopped back tree!
Anyway: I think it is probably my Monson dress & long black boucle cardi..... probably £140 & £85 each full price, dress was £25 in the sale & has been worn 4 times so far (and maybe worn again in September for a wedding but not decide) and the cardi was £15 and is down to under £1 a wear now.
Oh, I forgot about my black leather knee boots - £35 in a half-price sale in 2000, and have been worn at least twice a week every week of every winter since!
Several years ago when I was a skinnymalinks size 8, it would have been my Coast silk velvet dress which I wore for OH's 40th (£10 charity shop!) and the Debbie Morgan pale gold & black lace overlay dress I wore for my 40th (£85) ......still have them, but just look at them now2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Most things in my wardrobe tend to hover at about the 30-40 mark
Hey come on, clothes arent cheap when you're my size!!!!!!!!!:D
But if pushed, I would say -
1) My work shoes, believe it or not!!! Mens leather Kickers and a fantastic investment, £50 but they stand up to a lot of wear!
2)Ladies black fitted Ben Sherman shirt - £45, but fits beautifully and so very smart.
3) White cotton prom dress - Debenhams, £32. I bought this for OH's work long service awards dinner last year and its absolutely beautiful, but so far have only worn it once - oh dear.
4) Black cotton dress with white star print (I wear it as a top though with trousers) £35 from Evans - however I wear it to death so I've more than had my money's worth I think :rotfl:
Accessories wise though it's my D&G necklaces - one was £115  and the other £75 - but I adore them and wouldnt be without them*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
Not including bags, I would have to say shoes. I love them! I really think it is worth spending the extra ££ on a decent pair of shoes. I used to have a real quantity and not quality approach to clothing and shoes especially but I have now realised that I would prefer one £200 pair of shoes that I love to 10 pairs of £20 shoes that are just ok. I also tend to look after them more since they were so expensive and wear them to death to get my money's worth- so to me it makes financial sense too.
My most expensive pair were £350 but I don't regret a single penny. I feel a million dollars when I wear them and they are by far the most comfy shoes I own- I can dance all night in them!
The same goes for bags, I have 3 that I use in rotation and buy a new one on average every two years- I use these every day and so don't think they are a waste at all.
Clothes wise my most expensive item was my wedding dress, looking back I must have been mad as it cost me a month's salary  but I love it so much and had the most amazing wedding daySaving for an early retirement!0 -
i have a full length black leather coat that cost me £200 about 8 years ago
saying that last time i wore it was about 5 years ago0 -
I have a piece of jewellery that I bought with the money I inherited from my father's parents - about £400 in all. I rarely wear it, but it's worth far more than that to me because of how I bought it.
Other than that, some vintage ballgowns (neither was over £15 but worth significantly more now they've been cleaned and repaired), a couple of pairs of Camper shoes (expensive, but so incredibly comfortable and long lasting that their per-wear cost is pennies) - oh, and an incredible extravagance - a swing dancing dress that was €110 - more than my wedding dress!Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

2- Jack Wills check shirt (£75)
3- Any of my Abercrombie & FItch stuff. All over priced but cracking quality esp stuff I have got from USA
4 - River Island brown leather jacket (£95)
5- North Face nuptse jacket ($200)
6- Nike+ running trainers (£100)
MSE bit:I have to say I do spend money on clothes but I tend to spend only on items that will stand the test of time and I can get a lot of wear out of them. Plus if you buy off web through Quidco etc it's all good;)Spreading the gospel that is Martin Lewis to the future generation....I'm a Home Economics Teacher and being thrifty is the way!:A0 -
If we're talking jewellery, I have a *lot* - two Tiffany necklaces, a pair of Tiffany earrings, a Storm watch, a Hot Diamonds ring, a pair of green pearl earrings, a pearl necklace, a pearl bracelet, and a Butler and Wilson necklace.
To be fair though all of those were 18th or 21st birthday presents!
