Why hint when you can tell?

You're right, I've gone from completely uninterested and not even wanting to meet him, to really liking him a lot, in the space of less than 3 weeks. And I suppose that's changed how I am with him.

I flirted really obviously with him in my last text message, and he completely deflected it...but he does have a cheeky sense of humour, so again, still nothing is clear. He could be trying to let me down gently, or he could be assuming we are okay, and just having a laugh with me.

OK...you flirted with him, and he probably believed you. Now lets make the assumption that he doesn't really believe he's good looking enough to make any woman interested in him like that. So what possible reason (from his point of view) did you do that for?

1. You want something.
2. You're mocking him.
3. You're being kind and you're just doing it out of a sense of duty.

Not one of those is "You said it because it was true." That's because he doesn't think it is true.

So how does he respond?

1. He can tell you you're wrong. Argument: Good Move.
2. He can ask you what you're trying to manipulate out of him: Good move two.
3. He can tell you to stop being kind. You become nasty: Good move three.
4. He can deflect and change the subject: "Ahem...anyway...moving swiftly on"

Guess which he chose?

You're not dealing with a 0-100mph God's-gift to women's mucus membranes. You seem to be dealing with a normal bloke with no illusions of grandeur about himself...who is probably still sending his rabbits to his mother for safe keeping.

In light of that, you're going to have to cope with the fact obvious compliments will be treated with disbelief and a little bit of suspicion, and time and patience are needed.

Pooky, Thanks I am really unsure tbh. Thomas is so scared of traffic that the likely hood of him being in an rta is prob non existant. I am just really unsure of this new one :rolleyes:

Anyways he is here :j my dream has come true. he is a real cutie, albit not all ginger, more white than ginger but he is lush. The lady couldnt believe I have been searching 3 years. He is super friendly and at the momment is asleep infront of my fan :rotfl: The thing is we got supplies before we collected him and I brought some little cat toys... what does he chosse a 50p yard of ribbon :rotfl:

Scaredy ~ Thomas was in my room when we got back. Although the new cat was in his carrier and the carrier = vets to Thomas so he went skirting out. The cat is so relaxed though and can smell Thomas' scent on my bed. I think I will wait a few days before introducing them though
