Toto - a suggestion that may or may not be helpful - is he looking at the visa specially for the arts industry?? I think its O1 or something...

The wait time for these visas is 3-7 days...and you can still go to the Embassy and start the time from there - sometimes they can do them the same day:

There may still be time if she gets off her lazy a*** and goes to the embassy!

I'm not entirely sure which visa it is, probably the entertainment one. I do know that he can only work in the US on the visa with that particular record company. A new artist/label means a new visa.

He is in europe, flying back sunday night and then off to the US monday morning. As much as the tour is important he won't walk out on the Amy mac gigs just to come home to visit the embassy. I highly doubt anyone from the label will do it either but it's worth a go. I will be calling first thing and throwing a fit if they don't sort it out.

Thanks for the info Becky, it's ever so helpful and sweet of you to look it up. I had a brief look but got all confused with it.

Toto - hope you get it sorted, what a complete mess!

Pap - Can't help with the insurance, never had pet insurance and never will, DH is an insurance bod and doesn't feel it's worth it (there's always so many hidden bits in the policies). I'd be tempted to just keep a savings account and add to it as and when you can. My 16 year old cat has been to the vets twice in his entire life...the 8 year old has never been.

    BB - What's tonights class?

dating isnt all its cracked up to be... i was never very good at it anyway..

Nor me:rotfl:in fact someone just 'found' me on friends reunited. I thought i know that name but I can't remember where from so I tentatively said okay hi! He came back to tell me I was the first girl he ever kissed and had fond memories of me! Sounds a bit cruel to reply by saying I had forgotten who you were!

Actually - I was looking at LA film school a while back - wasnt sure which visa it would be on (that or the student one) so had to spend ages on that rubbish US website...when you mentioned it the visa name just came back to me...amazing what we remember eh!

I do hope you can get it sorted - but I agree he shouldnt have to walk out on the other gigs - it is crummy though...how can you forget one visa in a whole load of them...what an idiot!!!
