Ok, I've spoken to a guy from management. He is going to sort it all out tomorrow morning and I think he can get the visa the same day. So, I've sent a copy of hubby's passport, because he is canadian it helps because they don't need his actual passport so fingers crossed.

It is scaredy but I'm not going to count my chickens. After all, there must have been a good reason why they wanted him to lie at customs. I'll just have to see what tomorrow brings.

My life is like a soap opera these days:rolleyes:

Maz (and Inky, lol - I wouldn't have been offended :p), I agree, EXCEPT, I am lonely. :o

Being a single Mum, living miles from your hometown, having lost your friends because they sided with your ex, because after all, they were his mates first, and you did leave him, having a child with special needs that makes socialising rather difficult, and having 2 nights free a fortnight does not make for a spectacular social life.

And though it might look like I'm just on a desperate manhunt, I'm not really, I'm quite cool with the fact that I could be single for a looooong time, I'm hardly the perfect package!

I do find dating frustrating and stressful at times, but I know that sitting at home alone every weekend would be more damaging to me - and if I was coming on here complaining I was lonely and bored (which I would be), you'd be telling me to get out there and meet people.....so I am! :D

It might seem like I've been dating a lot, but I can count the people I've dated since Stu on two hands (with fingers to spare :p), and I haven't 'been intimate' with the majority of them, which considering its coming up to a year since we split up, isn't that bad, is it? :o

Sorry Snaggs, didn’t mean to upset you :o

I was with ex-OH for 17 years before we split up 3 years ago (looooooong & boring story, you may prize it out of me in Weybiza) & I’ve sort of been on my own ever since, I suppose being an only child I’ve always been happy with own company & have friends nearby, well not too near about between 15 to 30 miles away & fortunately they all took my side & kindly told me just how irritating my ex- OH was, how did I ever put up with him, etc ....

Secretly I admire you, I don’t have the confidence to start dating again, you'll have to give me some tips in Weybiza :D

Oooo Toto - I hope they can and at least its some good news to end the day with!!!

I think its tough to find the right kind of company sometimes...when I moved to London I left lots of friends in Cambridge so dated lots to make up for missing them, but now I am settled and have some good friends and a very nice OH - but I'd like to make more friends still, but I am lucky that running keeps me very busy so I dont feel lonely and I have my flatmates to chat too as well...

It is tough being on your own - you really have to learn to like your own company - I think its a skill like cooking...but not so easy to learn!
