hopefully nathan will sleep well again tonight (8 hours tues night and 7 hours last night) cos I won't get to sleep before 10 if I run that late:rolleyes:

Maz (and Inky, lol - I wouldn't have been offended :p), I agree, EXCEPT, I am lonely. :o

Being a single Mum, living miles from your hometown, having lost your friends because they sided with your ex, because after all, they were his mates first, and you did leave him, having a child with special needs that makes socialising rather difficult, and having 2 nights free a fortnight does not make for a spectacular social life.

And though it might look like I'm just on a desperate manhunt, I'm not really, I'm quite cool with the fact that I could be single for a looooong time, I'm hardly the perfect package!

I do find dating frustrating and stressful at times, but I know that sitting at home alone every weekend would be more damaging to me - and if I was coming on here complaining I was lonely and bored (which I would be), you'd be telling me to get out there and meet people.....so I am! :D

It might seem like I've been dating a lot, but I can count the people I've dated since Stu on two hands (with fingers to spare :p), and I haven't 'been intimate' with the majority of them, which considering its coming up to a year since we split up, isn't that bad, is it? :o

wow a year already, where does the time go?

How about trying to expand your social circle a bit, new friends who are just yours, nothing to do with stu. I know you only have 2 nights off every 2 weeks but could you get a babysitter for a night or two a week, go to the gym or join a club, you like running and I know from the other lunatics here who engage in that behaviour, there are clubs for that sort of thing :p

There is nothing wrong with wanting a man, I wasn't very good at being single to be honest. When I finally got comfortable with being single and wanted a good while on my own, Fran came along, right away and put the damper on that.

Toto - take it from me (well it sounds as if you have your head screwed on anyway) do not lie to customs. My OH was told to go on a job and lie to customs - he got arrested and deported at gun point. I have to point out he was going to the Sudan at the time but he got as far as Cairo.. It was pretty scary. He also now has a deportation notice on his passport.

These visas are pretty hard to get and I have first hand knowledge of the music industry management! My sympathies are with you - I would be tempted to make a big stink. Pretend to be his snotty PA so you can vent without getting a rep as a narky missus though!

Snags - having had no father figure and a crap ex OH, when I met OH I did not want to get involved, and for months (and even years) I couldn't have cared less if he came or went - it took months for him to get me to marry him, and I refused to wear a wedding ring for 10 years. It just seemed to make him more determined to marry me.

What I 'think' I am trying to say is you need to be comfortable enough with your inner feelings without having a man reciprocate feelings for you. I am wording this really badly...........

I think a lot of myself (sounds arrogant) but I actually think he is missing out if he doesn't love me....and thats his problem....:rotfl: sound like a right cow now.......uuuuuurrrrrghhhhh wish I could say what i want

Right - I'm off to get nathan fed, have a wee play and hopefully Hubbles will be home in time to bath him before bedtime...

If I don't get back on I'm sure I'll be around tomorrow as we have no expeditions planned.

Fingers crossed that the forecast rain finally gets here!
