Just ordered one of these, noticed it says that ID may be required upon delivery.....

Do the drivers actually ask for ID, and will they still deliver it if the person who's name is on the credit card is not at home? (My mum paid for it with hers but will be at work all next week, I will be taking delivery)

  • If anyone's ordering one of these and doesn't use any cashback sites but does have a Nectar card then you can get 6 points for every £1 spent at Dell throughout April if you use the link from the Nectar site: http://www.nectar.com/dynamic/estores/retailer/dellgb

I've never been asked for ID for any of the Dell PCs I've had delivered to me. Also their site says that the delivery address must be recorded with the credit card company, but they've always charged my CC successfully despite the fact it's registered at a different address
Thanks to all who post constructively.

Hopefully they wont ask for ID then :D

Estimated delivery date: 24/04/2006, expected it to be sooner.

    Are these laptops any good?

I currently have an Acer from Ebuyer and it's slow and quite heavy for carrying around.

    Thanks.

You, and some others on this site should be on commission from Dell :D No complaints though! Has helped me make the decision and looking forward to mine arriving.
