Thankyou Scrooge and Different Corner for your kind words!!
All was well yesterday with me and dd when i collected her from the holiday club. She is just 6 yet last night she was wanting to help me do the deliveries we had to do. A chance to help her learn to count money more confidently - 10p, 50p and the like.
Have had a real think about my debt position. I have a couple of pieces of furniture that belonged to my gran and grandpa, and mum suggested I sell them if it would help me find things easier financially. I am quite attached to these items as I was v close to my gran, however, once I'm debt free I will be able to buy all the pieces of furniture I want with the growth of my business and all, and so I am looking into it. I have to be sensible, not sentimental, and this could bring my DFD forward by a year maybe. So, its on my to do list for tuesday.
Otherwise looking forward to a proactive day. The sun is shining, feeling a bit tired but with a cuppa down me Im sure to wake up soon. Have a great day, and thanks for being there. This diary thing is so helping me to stay positive. I am doing ok, the situation will get better, these vulnerable moments will not last forever!
Thank you

Good morning. You're an early bird like me. The sun is trying to break through up here in Bonnie Scotland, but we've not seen a lot of it over the last few weeks.
Well done on reducing that mortgage further. Hope you get a really good price for the furniture, if you decide to sell it.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -

Just been checking the finances...again!! All is well for the bills this coming week, monies paid in yesterday to cover those. Just one blip. My MBNA debt repayment is due on the 9th this month, last month it was taken on the 11th. This month my work bonus goes in on the 10th. I will need to sort that out with MBNA as I wont have the monies in time via other means - my commission from my sales. What a dif 24 hours can make. How frustrating.. Two options. I can ask them if they will change the dd date by 2 days, there is time for this and they may oblige although I doubt it, or transfer the money from the card online to cover its own repayment and be charged a fee - no doubt a huge one - and then transfer it back when I receive my bonus on the 10th. The former solution is clearly the preferable, but at least there is a plan b to ensure the repayment is made.
I have decided to sell the furniture, my gran would understand the reasons, I know that. So, have been finalising my to do list for next week and business plan for the next 4 months to capitilise on the festive season, and other aspects to my business.
So far this weekend, all my brochures are out earning me money - worked yesterday with dd in tow and we had a good day, did the ironing last eve, a new load of washing just about to go on the line, plan to email more prospects later this eve. We are out later today with my parents which will be nice.
Tom been invited to a barbeque at a friends house. Will also check my dd's school uniform situation. Im sure everything will still fit her, inc her school shoes which once belonged to a friend's dd. Thursday is the day dd returns to school and she is really looking forward to it.
Current state of mind is that whilst the debt is still a hefty weight on my mind, there are options I am pursueing which will get me a few steps closer in the right direction and so feeling good about that. And given my circumstances, I feel good that I am hanging in there with everything. We will be ok.My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

I would give MBNA a call - you are more likely to get a positive response if you do it in good time. A lot will depend on who you get at the end of the phone, but you are in with a good chance if it is only 24 hours you need.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I too have just found your diary today. I have been struggling recently with some news which means my life will turn out differently to the life I expected for myself - I guess that is something I have seen in your life too. Anyway, I wanted to say that I love your positivity - you are certainly practicising the law of attraction! Even when you have bad days you know that you will climb back up.
On a financial note - is there any way you could start building up a small cash fund that you could rely on in an pinch? (say to pay into the bank in cash to cover a payment). I'm just thinking of a few pounds put aside each week. It might make you feel as if you have a slight buffer zone - it might be worth doing even if you have to overpay your debts slightly less for a little while. Just a thought...

Thank you to you all for your wise words. Yes, Sparkly I need to do exactly as you say and I do think it wil be possible in the coming 2 months to be in that position. I will start getting ahead of myself which will happen with my business generating more income as the festive season starts ( I personally sold £60K worth of products last year, and £30/35K of that was in the Xmas season alone) In fact despite everything I was the top sales person in the group of which Im part last year, that had been one of my dreams, Oh how I wanted to achieve that and say to the world anything is possible. Miracles do happen. That was such a fantastic moment last Christmas, to be told I had achieved it and be presented with a trophy, receive a standing ovation and all. And its that feeling I look forward to when this debt is gone. Pure elation! Also, as I continue to help my team grow, and with the impending enquiries I will make re the sale of my gran's furniture everything is v positive. It turns out that just 2 pieces were valued at £880 and £660 respectively 8 years ago, so I feel I have to take the opportunity. My parents think I should if it means I am not so stressed about it all and I am debt free sooner. So its good that I have them on side. I just told my parents yesterday that whilst Im in debt now, I WILL be completely debt free inc my mortgage by the time Im 50/51 which is in 6 years and so I do not want them to be worried about me. I intend to work my business plan to the letter. Things may take me longer to do, there may be days I can not do all that I want to, but I WILL get there. Positive and focused is what I will continue to strive to be!!!
Hypno, I will call MBNA on tuesday. I will let you know how I get on.
We are washing the car later on, its annual wash, and looking forward to my friends bbq after that! Thank you once again for all your advice. Take care xxMy debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
