  • Enough is enough! Fell asleep in chair, must have been during the 10 oclock news. Time now 2.38am. Just about to go to bed.

This has got to stop. DD first day back at school in am and I need to be more organised, and just get to bed. Why is this so hard I ask myself to do. 5 years of this on and off since my DH situation and I long to have a whole week where I am like everyone else and just get to bed at a decent time night in night out. This has become a habit, almost a way of life. The tv is on, and I can just hear Jeremy Kyle is starting!! Only 2 lights on for the last 4/5 hours! You have to laugh. The washing up needs doing, my dds packed lunch. Just done my to do list for tom. Think it is containable. Will set the alarm for 6am.

Off to bed, if I dont sleep properly everything else becomes a strain, so I am recording this here as part of my journey that my sleep patterns are going to be dealt with a long with my debt, attitude, self belief, this sleeping in the chair just has to stop from now.
    Goodnight!!

  • Hi

Am still reading your fab diary but sorry I havent posted any messages of support lately..... Well done on your fantastic recent sales and really good luck with the upcoming christmas 'rush' !
Thats fab news about the MBNA payment , I guess it goes to show that if you dont ask you dont get !

I can so sympathise with your falling asleep in the chair , this for me has been going on for years now .... I must just fall asleep all of a sudden as I can not be feeling tired and then the next thing I know its the middle of the night .... I then end up wide awake at all hours and soooo tired later on in the day, it becomes a vicious circle .... good luck with breaking the habit !

Hope your lovely DD settles back into school OK today, WOW where did the summer holidays go .... !

    Oh Different Corner

So sorry to hear that. I emailed them yesterday, and I have had an email back saying there is a secure message to read, but I can't bring myself to read it yet. I dont feel brave enough!!! If it stays as it is, then sobeit. Have recd a phone call this am from someone trying to convince me I need an IVA or DMP, I told them I want to follow my own DMP for the time being. I believe with the help of this diary and support from this site, I and all of us will get through our respective situations as they are.

So, the good news today, - dont want to focus on the bad - I think I have just had a letter which looks v formal and will advise me of another increase from another card possibly? Will leave it to read later............

I surprisingly feel awake, and refreshed.
Yes, I got dd to school on time, forgeting nothing!
Have just placed an order of £682 in sales, and just about to collect what I hope will be another £300 to £500, then next tuesday the same, and then this week will exceed my weekly target of £1500 in personal sales.
Have made an appt with a local auctioneer for next mon to look at the furniture I am looking to sell, so feeling that things are moving in the right direction there.
Just about to prepare the supper for later then collect orders till 3pm. Then sort dd out , then do business calls for the rest of the day. just maybe I will speak to someone who wants to earn extra and will join my team.

Its all happening in the right direction, just taking little steps towards the end result. So, heres to having planned my work, and now working my plan!!

Wow you are sounding very organised and focussed. I love your lists. It looks like you have a very productive weekend arranged, with some fun thrown in, which makes for a good combination.

Here's to a good weekend.

  • Well here I am again, midnight sun eve going to bed after posting this entry. Have been asleep for abour 3/4 hours this eve, woke up expecting to see the middle of the night version of Jeremy Kyle and was pleasantly surprised to find it was before midnight!!!

A very positive weekend. Did virtually everything on my to do list apart from all the paperwork but thats ok, Im sorted in my head and on paper how the next week will go and I will get it all done. Will get up at 5.45am, and do a chunk before dd wakes up. Feeling v proactive, and have completed a "Life Plan - Operation Go for It!!" for between now to the end of the year. So, have split this into Business Goals ( I know, these do dominate my thinking!), Personal goals and last but no means least Financial Goals.

So, in this plan are things like attending a Spin class twice a week. My first one this week will be on Weds lunchtime. The beauty of being s/e is that I can work around things like this.

Re my finances, have a couple of things up my sleeve which Ive decided to explore and act upon. Furniture being valued tom as already detailed and Im going to ask them to value a couple of pictures, and some silver and an ornament I was left by my granny and grandpa too. I was v close to my gran, and I just know she would understand why Im doing this so Im feeling comfortable about it now. Then Ive email the offical Mackenzie Thorpe website as I have 3 limited edition prints and want to know how much they are worth. Ive had them for years and love them, however, whilst it would be sad to see them go, frankly Im thinking to be debt free is where I want to be and when my business is where I want it to be, Ill be able to get all the limited editions I choose to buy and do so in cash.

Basically, Ive set myself a very brave goal of getting an extra £10K in to clear off debt between now and the end of the year. A real challenge but I think I can do it. My income alone from Xmas sales will more than double, then with all these other potential sales to be made, I think it is actually quite possible to do. Im going to keep a record, if I get a further £7/8 k off my debt total I ll be happy, but 10k would be nice!

Finally, Xmas! Have panicked about Xmas, worried about how to finance it, however, Im now actually really looking forward to Xmas. In my mission to save money, and not be so worried about the money needed to buy pressies, Ive decided that all my family and friends will receive a special hamper from us which will include lots of home cooked wonders such as sausage rolls, mince pies, scones, cakes, that sort of thing, easy to freeze if necessary, but things everyone I know anyway has little time to make themselves due to work and other commitments. It would be a great way to spend time with my dd, doing something creative, something that is giving of ourselves, and something that others will really enjoy rather than spend it together in a busy shopping centre buying things that I can't really afford while dd gets bored and tired - and I do too!.

So, Im starting to feel that this df journey is becoming quite an adventure as opposed to a daily stress. No doubt there will be tearful days, however its the proactiveness that is v inspiring and self empowering, and that feel a good place to be! Looking forward - yes looking forward to another week of building the business, dealing with life every day and basically getting a day nearer to achieving my goals! Yes, Im fired up, Bring it on!

    Off to bed...........
