PaF, you are doing brilliantly - stop beating yourself up! You're like me, you want everything you do to be perfect and when it's not you don't give yourelf any leeway for the fact that you are human and occasionally make mistakes: that's for everyone else, not for the likes of us! The thing is, I'm starting to learn that it is OK for me to make the occasional mistake (such as the Egg card), so long as you are doing your best to make things right and don't make it again. Don't let a few minor niggles get in the way of your long-term plans: it's so easy to get cross with some minor things and then feel like throwing in the towel. You're doing really well at your business, spending lots of quality time with your DD, managing to fit God knows how many other things in besides and STILL feeling like you should be achieving more! :doh:Relax, enjoy another cup of tea if you have to and think how you are capable of surmounting any more problems even though they are annoying as you have got over so very many already. xoxox

  • Hi PAF,

Looks like all of us are having those 'is there any point, struggling to get some control over our situations, when fate seems to hand a blow, just when we think the end is in sight.

I know you like positive books. Here is a quote from "The Greatest Salesman in the World".

"In the Orient young bulls are tested for the fight arena in a certain manner. Each is brought to the ring and allowed to attack a picador who pricks them with a lance. The bravery of each bull is then rated with care according to the number of times he demonstrates his willingness to charge in spite of the sting of the blade. Each day we are tested by life in like manner. If we persist, if we continue to try, if we continue to charge forward, we will succeed".

I've had a nasty chest infection over the last few days, and I am amazed how quickly chaos has descended. Going to keep fighting on though, thanks for your diary, I am finding it very encouraging.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
  • Thank you for your kindness and encouraging words. So sorry to hear you're having a not so good time DF and Scrooge and my thoughts are with you too. I could have done more today, have tried to get my self immersed in the day, find that sense of purpose and clarity, that get up and go feeling. So, whats the plan? I plan to prioritise 4/5 tel calls to prospects now who are expecting my call and then leave the rest till Monday, re-start my team building with renewed vigour, energy and enthusiasm on Monday. This eve I need to get the washing in, water the garden, call one of my team, do the supper, cuddle up with dd and have an early night, and tomorrow I would hope to feel clear about things again. Today is how I recall I spent my life for a considerable time after my dh situation. Living life through what felt like a fog. Anyway, enough of this. There is so much I can be proactive about in reducing my debt and taking hold of the situation and building my business and I must focus on all that for my own sanity and most importantly for my dd. Im going to address my action plan this weekend, be pleased with progress made so far since my LBM, get some kind of plan in place re items for ebay and start afresh, do some investigative work tom re the value of some of my pictures, and continue to focus on my team building and sales in my business. The former will help clear up debt in this last quarter of the year, the latter will give me financial freedom forever in the long term with hard work and persistence and a positive and focused mind! I must remember this, that all is indeed well as I will most certainly be debt free. I will be debt free. I will be debt free. I will be debt free.!!

This diary is proving to be invaluable in so many ways. Thank you and I hope you all have a really lovely weekend.

  • Well this am am feeling somewhat clearer in the head. Fell asleep on the chair last night at what must have been about 9pm, was so so tired, woke up at 3.33am to be exact!got to actual bed at 4am, still had a good 10 hours sleep, I obviously needed it. Just so frustrated that I can not seem to break this habit. The plan is to set the alarm for say 11pm so if I do fall asleep then that will wake me up and Igo to bed, but my situation last night was that I fell asleep before even setting the alarm. I have to laugh, but in truth it is really becoming an issue. Will get there. Tonight is another night to practise getting it right. Dd still asleep! Just about to do letter to MBNA to fax to them re charges, make a list of the pictures to sell, have a boiled egg and soldiers for brekkie with dd when she wakes, we are going to one of my team members this am, a lovely lady who was once a primary school teacher and she helps dd with her reading and spelling every other week for an hour. It takes pressure off me if I am tired in the week to do reading with dd every night etc. Im often asleep at same time as my dd I get so tired. So, this compensates and makes sure my dd keeps up to speed. She loves seeing this lady too so all round a good arrangement.
Then off to get tyres checked, then to the local picture shop to see what they sell my pictures for. have already got a fair idea from ebay and some internet sites, just want to check though.
Theres washing on the go, and ironing to do but in the main the rest of the day I may just relax a bit in the garden. Yes, forget what that word means at times. Relax!
Sunday I will start ebay, bake cake for friend, finalise action plan, record and email new prospects, sort some books out, enjoy garden again with dd, get prepared for a new week, a lot happening next week, need to really stay focused to ensure monies keep flowing in for the bills and mortgage etc, the latter is 2 weeks mon. Hoping my valuations from the auctioneers will arrive in the post today or mon.

    Take care everyone xx
