Hi Verbatim, well, they have verbally apologised about things generally, not specifics, to be fair, and I have to say ironically have seen the Head a few times recently just in passing - dont usually see her around at all! - and she is being very very very nice to me!

So, new news, the weekend was a tearjerker on sat. Am just having to accept that this is it, I will always it hard and dh will be in my head daily. Never a day goes by when hes not there at some point. Bless him. We did have a lovely day on Sun with family. Money saving expert showing its influence yet again as I spent v little, comparitively litle anyway compared to the old days and delivered by my own standard a very good buffet and tea. All homecooked, thats why it didn't cost as much and everyone enjoyed it! So, that was lovely.

Other good news. Heard from my MPs office yesterday. They have a Kl order for me which they are posting to me. An appt is in the throws of being arranged for next Fri or Sat to meet with him again, have our photo taken, an article to go in the paper and a discussion as to how I can work with him over the coming months/years!!! Going with the flow but if I said I wasn't excited I would be lying.

Dds art therapy course starts next Tuesday for 10 weeks. Shes very excited about it, the only child in her year. There are 5 other children from the year above. All notes of "progress" are held at the school which concerns me after recent experiences so I have had a word with the teacher concerned to explain why I believe dd will find it really helpful, ie bereavement issues, worrying about my wellbeing issues, NOT because we are not coping or anything like that. Part of me worries it could be the school collating "evidence" to bring up at another time to justify any future actions they might take. Sad to say but I dont trust them. Ive also told dds teacher that I hate dd having a home diary. Shes one of two children in her year who has one. Why, when the reports back are that she is doing well in the main now, I believe the problems stemmed from the worry that the referral to Soc Services created and now dd is feeling much happier again now thats sorted, so why the home diary, is it another means to collate any little bit of evidence for a future situation? It makes me uneasy and so I am now pretending it doesn't exist! Im not going to write in it anymore. So, that aside dd is really happy about doing the art and so for that reason alone, its all systems go. She absolutely loves art and making things and I am grateful for that reason she has this opportunity. So, we are both very appreciative and will see how it unfolds.

Thats it, back to work and building my business and fortune! Money is tight and I just have to take a day at a time, remembering that I am doing my best, all is in hand - the mortgage will be up todate this week, all other bills covered, just need to ensure this continues into the New Year.

Will visit other diaries at the weekend....

  • Super news. My MP has given me a £45 order and dd and I are meeting with him next Sat to discuss "how things can move into the New Year!" Really v excited about this and what it could mean. Just going with the flow ...

Finances are hanging in there. All is just about ok, will feel better next week when bonuses etc are paid in and the mortgage is upstraight for Oct and Nov payts. Oct has dragged out a bit and the mortgage due on NOv 28th will be paid by Dec 2nd, then I will be back to normal paying on time each month. Orders keep coming which is good and on that note am off to do my stuff now... My one consolation is knowing Im doing my v best and have made so many changes over the last few months that it is a miracle the debt is going down, and everything is containable. Things can only get better and better!...

  • So, just an update on where I am! Financially, I'm the grand sum of £3.59 ahead of myself on my mortgage. This coming month Im paying the mortgage in two installments, £600 to pay in total. All depends on how many customers pay me by cheque as to how quickly, but my target is by the end of next week. Ive been selling on ebay so a few pounds there has been most welcome. My one bill outstanding is to Scottish Power, have recently moved from them re my electric/gas and Im waiting for my final bill so I know thats pending. So, feeling on more of an even keel. Just praying it doesn't snow too much if it comes our way. Nothing as yet... Dd let slip that my mum is putting money away secretly for me incase it does snow. Its supposed to be a secret!

Other news, dd is lovely as ever, I do so love her and just sometimes have to pinch myself that I should be so blessed to have her in my life. She loved her first art class. The charity who offer a support locally have been so wonderful to us too. The lady who comes to visit me, she really believes in me and that is if I say so myself so nice to hear once in a while. All is well actually.

So, with Xmas round the corner I am working flat out, Kl is v busy and its Xmas card time for all my customers! Still have a few xmas pressies to get for family however thats containable, I know what im getting and from where and how much.

Re MP appt on sat, I am getting some questions I hope to ask him sorted, and I hope to raise awareness of the need to donate to the charities all around. Govt support is much needed in that area. From my perspective, its all v well saying more people should be off Incapacity benefit, and have the confidence to go out there and work, however the support they have whilst on Incapacity is harder to get, or withdrawn completely if they work and thats the time they need it the most. Without the support of the two charities who have been there for dd and me I doubt v much we would have come on as much as we have. So, either the support needs to remain/ given in order to be able to work or/and funding needs to be maintained to the charities that help disabled people maintain independent lives.

A lady from the Disabled Parents Network - yet another charity -who Ive got to speak to as a result of the complaint with the school is planning to visit me next week with a view to starting an application to Adult Social Care to obtain more daily practical support for me in order that I can continue working successfully. She has confirmed that the fact I do work will be held against me despite the irony that if I wasn't working the support would not be needed as much! I have visions of dd reading bedtime stories to me rather than the other way round I get so tired! You have to laugh! However, seriously, she believes I should qualify for something and is prepared to fight for it on my behalf. So, we will wait and see....

Thats it from me, books to collect, banking to do, ebay things to post, keeping warm as possible, this weather slows me down and my leg just wont always do what I want it to do so extra care needed, nevertheless I can visualise orders, a nice day in the fresh air and a lovely eve tonight when mum brings dd home, yes a lovely day awaits......
