Well, its 2011! State the obvious! Anyway, dd and I had a lovely Xmas. She was 8 on the 2nd Jan too so its been one family get to gether after another. She had a lovely day. Tom shes back to school and Im back to work in the proper sense of the word. Have been doing little bits here and there with dd in tow, managed to get £350 orders last week in between Xmas and New Year and I have 100 books to collect tom. Hoping to get at least £500. So, I am planning to make this decade a wonderful one for us. Last decade bought great joy with the birth of my dd, and great trauma with the murder of dh which willbe ongoing with release of murderer etc in a few years but we will deal with that. I am planning to do all I can to fall over less than I did last decade too! I will be debt free in 5 years and most certainly mortgage free shortly after that. Quite exciting to see how things unfold. See if I can better my targets!
So, thanks to on high, I managed to get all the deliveries done before Xmas. It was q funny, here there was no snow on one of the days I delivered, 15 mins up the road, there were drifts of snow. I hadn't taken my walking stick and was really struggling, until a dear customer offered me one of hers which was v kind. It saved my bacon!
So, plans for 2011. Here they are:
Since lightbulb moment have, paid off £6433.38. Well done! I am v confident I can keep within my means this year which was still a struggle this time last year. It will still be tight but worth it as my aim this year is to keep to higher payments so for eg my min debt with Sainsburys this month was £199.34, I intend to now pay them £200 each month and keep it at that. I have one debt which is £1K and I am confident that with earning more than I need that will be gone by the middle of the year. If I manage that, I will be so elated. I intend to work so that my business earns me at least £300 over what I need you see. I have a snowball plan, and a business plan, and god willing and with being proactive I will get the results I seek. I am ignoring recession talk, my experience is that if you look hard enough there are people out there needing the products Im selling, I might need to work harder to find them, but I will! My core customer base is v loyal to me and this Xmas once again moved me to tears with their kindness and fondness for dd and me. All I do is deliver a book and deliver orders and see how they are in the process!I lost count of the no of Xmas cards we recd!
The other two areas I plan to continue doing are ebay and placing yet more pics in the local auction. I have about 8 more pics to sell and they seem to be going for at least £50, the most has been £95 each. Ebay saw me make some £35 profit last month, it all counts. So, feeling v positive.
Of course, the final area which could become a very exciting opportunity are the developments with my local MP. I need to call his office today as he left a message on my ap before Xmas to call them so will see what that unfolds. I am v keen to help other disabled people retain their independence and anything that makes it less of a fight to be able to do that is v exciting to be part of. If my story can make a difference how amazing would that be. Quite unbelievable!
So, other than my financial and business goals, my focus is on my personal health and diet, sleep, just basically being more self discipined and aware of my limits. If I need to sleep, I need to sleep, and I need to praise myself more for all my achievements however small! My best this year is going to be good enough!
Anyway, happy new year to anyone reading. I hope 2011 is going to be fantastic for all of us.

How fantastically positive you sound. I'm truly glad you've had a wonderful break and that despite the awful weather, which affects you so much more than most, you have managed to carry on and fulfill all your obligations. I think you're a superb role model for anyone having to overcome difficulties to achieve their goals in life. No wonder your MP wants to work with you!
Ans what a good idea to put away £1 each day. Will this be your emergency fund or have you got other plans for it?
Happy New Year to you and your DD and I wish you every success, health and happiness in 2011.

Oh bless you all, it is v kind of you to pop in. I haven't popped into any other diaries on here for a while which I must do.
So, I had to laugh, Im still positive, dont worry. However yesterday, what do I do, have a fall. Not too bad in the sense that I haven't damaged my face or glasses! Oh Im so vain! But my knees and good arm are a wreck really. Grazed heaven! Even picking up my cup of dear tea im aching! I dont even know how it happened. One minute I was walking, the next down with people around who v kindly helped me get up etc. There was nothing that seemed to trip me up if you see what I mean. I still carried on working after an hour or two, just took it easy and so took longer to get everythng done etc.
Today, Im going to still work but again do less than planned. Im still positive, but clearly someone somewhere wants me to adhere to my resolution of taking care of myself and to not over do it. So, I may have to review my business plan and the speed at which I action it. Time will tell how I go.
Other news, My Mps office called me on tuesday. The local paper are not going to feature me as they take the view that it is advertising my business which they do not do in features. Thats how I understand it anyway. So, my Mp is going to incorporate my story once he has got a steadfast plan in place with what he wants to achieve and which he would then want to have reported in the paper. It looks likely that he will contact me again in February or so to invite me to the next meeting to discuss how to move on from this point, there were talks of meeting with Job Centre Plus and other organisations who help others back into work. Will wait and see. In the meantime, my Mp is going to send me a letter endorsing my efforts which he said I can use if I so wish to promote my business within the Kleeneze network, the Kleeneze mag. I think I will not least to highlight the fact that disabled distributors do exist, you would often be forgiven for thinking everyone is able bodied whenever Ive attended a training but it is possible to make this business work with disabilities and I am v passionate about getting the disabled persons voice heard. Its not heard enough in my view anywhere, not just in the workplace! You se, I believe its a case of communicating that things are possible, you just have to do things slightly differently with the disability in mind of course so therefore a different type of approach is required. Things may be harder or take longer but they can still be done, if the disabled voice is never heard to communicate how other disabled people have done it, how will anyone else with disabilities see a way in which they could do it too, and then start to believe in themselves and then go do it?
On that note, back to work and getting dd to school. ...My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

PAF - Just wanted to say how inspiring your diary is! You are not disabled, you are very special and determined and rising to all of the challenges that life throws at you!!!
I think it is a great idea to get your story in the Kleeneze mag and it is great that the MP is not letting the paper off the hook.
On a facetious note have you thought of a 'Michelllin Man' type suit so you will bounce better
Bad PAF, you know you should be already stitting outside school so DD will not be late!!!!

Well, have tried to rest up this weekend. My knees look like a map of the world with grazes appearing, well not quite that bad, maybe just America, England, Isle of Wight! but they feel sore and I have felt quite badly the after effects of falling over, was v tired last week. Never mind, its just a blip, doesn't mean I will fall over again! Am planning to collect £750 in orders by Tuesday. Am planning to exceed £1K this week in sales. Bills wise am just about there with everyone. Am being as proactive as poss with Kl and with ebay to get to that wonderful debt freeness day sooner than later!
Dd and I have been doing a puzzle this weekend that Father Christmas delivered in her stocking. Its been fantastic to do. 500 pieces, still not quite finished but the puzzle itself cost just £2.99 and its the best £2.99 of entertainment spent, , just having a lovely mum and dd time together. Also done some baking. Yes, its been lovely. Also been ebaying some of my clothes! On that note, off to bed now, need to get my beauty sleep!... Here s to a terrific week!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
