  • Well, I have now recd advice of my income cheque, and whilst it is less than my income goal, it is still very good considering we've had the Xmas period and the snow. I also have a new team member joining my team this weekend following my phone calls yesterday, and as he lives up the road Im popping over to him on weds am to go through the other bits and bobs I would usually post. So, Im really chuffed about that. 2010 is starting on a good vibe for me, and I'm so excited about it.

Tom, all my family are going to mum and dads for the day to celebrate my brothers birthday. Im in charge of the roast pots, and the trifle - home made of course. Mum has always loved my roasts, and thats thanks to my dh who was very good at making them too, and Ive always roasted my potatoes the way he did them!

Today, its doing a bit of food shopping, getting my tyres checked on the car, the banking as we are going to nip into town later. Also, want to bake some fairy cakes for dd. So, a nice weekend awaits us!

  • A lovely weekend and now desperately trying to get on with the new week. Have just spent the journey in the car to school shouting at dd. So angry with her. Not the way for me to behave though. Why can she not do as I ask some mornings? We did get to school on time though. Feel worn out at the mo, sitting here with a cuppa, paperwork to do before going out and about. We did have a cuddle before we left each other and I told her I did love her, and she told me to have happy thoughts! So, we are ok , just it wears me out, totally. Mornings aren't my best tme anyway, its when my epileptic fits happened when I was actively epileptic, and as my heart beats faster in these cross moments, my focus is to try and not let a panic attack happen and to stay calm! Oh god, feeling a total mess of a mother right now. Have just eaten a fairy cake and its not even 9.30am!

Don't worry, PaF: DD is just a child and she will have these moment. Sometimes you HAVE to shout, and she needs to hear you do so to prove that you aren't a walk-over and that there are boundaries to be respected. Don't feel too bad as you are just doing your motherly job. And have another fairy cake: go on, you know you want to! ;)

  • Thanks Pickle, if I say so myself I love my fairy cakes!

So, today is a new day. All is well with dd. We are in love again! No shouting this am! Everything went quite smoothly. We were on time again!

So, am paying a reduced amount on my mortgage this month. Due to the effects of the snow with not being able to work, I have been able to do this because I paid extra into my mortgage some years ago, and there is some leeway available. Also just contacted Inland Rev as I haven't received anything official from them whatsoever regarding my tax payment due. The amount works out slightly lower than the figure my accountant calculated for some reason, but I wont quibble. Its less so thats good! All is well there.

Got £380 in orders yesterday. The first of many in this new 4 week period. My target is £5500 over thenext 4 weeks. Will give it all Ive got! On with the day!

Ooh, now that's a much more positive post than yesterday: glad to see things are going well today. If the rest is as good as that, you'll have won the lottery by the end if (it's not a draw day, is it?!) x

  • Thanks Pickle, feeling tired today, though positive, nice to have lots of money in my account, shame its for the tax man!!

Makes me realise just how much I need to keep on top of things so that one day having hundreds and hundreds of pounds in my account is the norm!

Just going out to pick up more orders. Signed a new team member up yesterday so thats v positive. Focusing on being proactive and looking forward!

    Have a good day!

  • Glad you enjoyed a fairy cake or two! Well earned!

I remember the shouting at child in car when late for school sessions. We are only human and as long as they know we love them.

My son is now able to walk to school. He gets himself up at 6.00am to do his paper round and then after breakfast off to school in plenty of time. Never late. So maybe the shouting works in the end:rotfl:!

That's pretty good: I'm 29 and still rubbish at mornings. :p Also, kids aren't stupid and they know when they go too far. If they've been brought up properly, they know what to expect, and they know full well what is coming their way (and don't object to it half the time as they have a sense of natural justice). It's just the other half of the times which need sorting out! :rotfl:

Yes, when my dd goes to secondary school, it will hopefully be the one just up the road from here, a 10 min walk away so the stress that sometimes lingers in the air getting her to school in the am wont be so bad. However, thats another 4 years away. In fact, I will be on the verge of debt freeness by then, oh how wonderful that will be!

  • Ok, sold a modest £800 over the last week. Thats a running total of £2560 over the last two weeks since the snow went away! so I am really pleased and of course a new team member too. Just need to ensure such results are consistently achieved and I would most certainly be looking at being dfd much sooner! Which is of course my aim, that and financial security. I am thinking I could focus on higher sales every other week, then the week where sales are not as high, I could keep up to date with my prospects, and of course keep on top of the deliveries that need to be made from the week before when the sales are high. That could work. Am always looking to perfect how I run my business really just to manage my time the best possible way and in doing so, keep my tiredness issues to a minimum! So, right now, I need to finish sorting out my delivery Ive recd today and sort my books out for putting back out tom. Then bed. All IS well, all will continue to be well. This debt situation is not forever. It will pass, and my business WILL grow! My mantra for today and beyond!.
